Let's walk through how to answer priority nursing school questions. So there's three principles you'll follow, the ABCs, Maslow's hierarchy of needs and the nursing process. So the ABCS is your number one priority for anything in nursing. So airway, breathing and circulation. If the patient's airway is not clear, if they are not breathing or if their blood is not circulating, game over, my friend. These are the most important things that you need to be focusing on for safety of your patients. And then we move down to Maslow's hierarchy of needs which is very similar to the ABCs because we start with physiological needs which are the ABCs. So physiological needs, then safety needs and then love and belonging, self esteem and then self actualization. And then your next priority is the nursing process. So you want to make sure that you are assessing your patients first before you are evaluating add, pie, assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
