HELP! I failed the NCLEX twice! What do I do?!

Christina Rafano helps a student who failed the NCLEX twice build a focused study plan. Review past practice questions to identify weak areas like pharmacology or cardiac, then use the Nursing SOS dashboard videos, study guides, and the NCLEX Mastery app to target only those deficiencies. Skip reviewing strong topics, which wastes time.

Hey there friend. My name is Christina Rafano from nursingsos.com and today's video is going to be pretty special because I want to give you a sneak peek into one of the recent tutor calls that I did inside the Nursing SOS membership community. This question comes from a student who failed the NCLEX twice and just joined the NMC looking for help. So on the tutor call I walk through exactly what I would do in that situation and the tips that I have for studying and passing the NCLEX the next time. So I hope this video is helpful for you and if it is, I would love if you could tell me in the comments if you want to see more of these tutor call replays like this. And of course hit that subscribe button and click the notification bell and let's dive in to the tutor call.
Next question. 1, 2, 3, 4. So question number four, thank you so much for creating this learning platform. My question is what order of subjects should I study first? Okay, here's the caveat. I am a repeat test taker and I failed the NCLEX twice. Okay. So I am so glad to have you inside the nursing SOS membership community now. That's awesome. I am so glad you joined. So here's what is so important that you do. If you have already failed the NCLEX twice and now you're, you know, looking for a refresher, right? Here's what I would do. Go back and look at whatever practice questions you were doing. Look at your. Think back to your NCLEX and think through the subjects that you're struggling with the most. And that's what you're going to want to focus on. Okay? So whatever subjects, whatever topics that are like if it's pharmacology that you miss a lot of questions about, if it's fundamentals, if it's like ABGs or whatever, think back through on the topics that you are struggling with the most. Those are the things that you're going to want to pull up inside the NMC and watch the videos on. Okay? So whatever topics you're struggling with, pull up those videos inside the Nursing ESSENCE membership community and watch those videos. Focus on those things. Okay? And then also you're going to want to be doing practice questions, okay? On those topics, you really want to focus your time and make sure that you are doing the practice questions and the reviewing for the things that you're struggling with. You don't want to keep reviewing things that you're already good at. Right? Like it's. That makes Us feel good, but it's kind of a waste of time, right? Even though it kind of makes your heart happy, like, oh, I know something, but it's a waste of time. We don't want to do that. So make sure that you're focusing on the things that you are struggling with. Okay? So for example, if pharmacology, like that was my. One of my biggest struggles in nursing school pharmacology and lab values, ugh, that was my biggest struggle for the nclex. So I had to review that a lot. A lot. So, so if that's you too, if you struggle with pharmacology, get into the nmc, go to your dashboard, just scroll down and you'll see the pharmacology course. So go through those videos, okay? Whatever meds that you need to review on. If it's cardiac, you're struggling with getting the cardiac course inside the mmc. So just, it's all in your dashboard. Friends, like, go there, watch those videos, review those things. That's why we have the video set up. That way you, you've got the videos, you've got the study guides. We're adding flashcards now. I mean, there's like, there's all this great stuff with the key points to help you with exactly what you need to know for the NCLEX and for your nursing school exams. So make sure you get in there, do your reviews, do your practice questions. I really like the NCLEX Mastery app for practice questions because to my knowledge, this is how it used to be. They let you tailor your questions to your weaker areas, which is really nice. So get in there and you'll be able to, like, if I remember right, be able to select the topics that you get questions about, which is so, so nice. So if you're struggling with pharmacology, then you can just practice pharmacology questions. If you're struggling with cardiac, you can just do cardiac questions, things like that. So, yep, that's, that's exactly what I would do.
