Let's talk about the DRC critical thinking model for nursing school. So D stands for definition or description. So what is the definition or the description very high level of what you are studying about what topic you're studying in nursing school. Then you're going to move down here to the R Reason or rationale. So why does that happen? What is the reason or rationale for what is going on with whatever you are studying? And then the C stands for connection. Now this is really where the critical thinking really sets in connection connecting the dots between this topic and everything else that you are learning about in nursing school. So let's say you're talking about heart failure. What's the description definition of heart failure? What's the reason or rationale the pathophysiology? Why is it happening then connection you're going to walk through? How does heart failure have to do with things like hypertension or connect to diabetes things like that.
