Let's walk through some of the trickier dose calc conversion factors that you will see on the NCLEX in your nursing school exams. So one grain is equal to 65 milligrams. Now this is for Tylenol, aspirin and iron. Any other grain question that it's asking you is going to be 60 milligrams. Grains are kind of funny that way. But for the NCLEX and nursing exams, you'll often see this as Tylenol. So I put this here as 65 milligrams per grain. Now the next one is kilograms, 2 pounds. So 1 kilogram is equal to 2.2 pounds. This is a really tricky one. It's kind of tough to remember. One kilogram is 2.2 pounds. So anytime you're dealing with pediatric dose calculations or weight based calculations, this is the one you'll want to remember. And then we have one ounce is equal to 30 milliliters.
