Nclex Rule number two Whatever you do, do not draw on prior real life experience. Treat each question like it is a textbook case. Now what do I mean by that? The patient has a the perfect signs and symptoms, and they do not, unless it specifically says so. They do not have any comorbidities. Forget about all your past experience, your work experience, or your personal experience, or your clinical experience, and your experience as a parent if you have children, for all of it. And take the question at face value. Nclex questions are textbook cases. It's not real life. So if you draw on your real life experience, you will really struggle to pick the right answer. Never make an assumption that something is true if it is not written in the question. So treat each question like it is a textbook case of that one disorder or disease.
