What is up? My friend Christina here with nursingschoolofsuccess.com and today in this video, we are diving into nursing school time management. Dun, dun, dun. I know it's so hard in nursing school. You've got so much going on and sometimes it can even feel hard to breathe. Nonetheless, take the time to make a plan to manage your time. It's this whole whole circle. You know you need to stop for a few minutes to make a plan, but you don't feel like you have the time to spare to do that. So we are going to fix that today because we are going to make a plan for you together. You and me. So let's do this. All right, so I've got three nursing school time management tips for you, and the first is to get everything down on paper. Seriously. I am convinced that one of the biggest stressors in nursing school is our brain. We get so busy trying to remember all that we need to do, and we get so stressed out trying to think about what's next that we don't focus on what's important. Does this happen to you? Because this happens to me all the time. There is so much going on in my mind and it's hard to keep track of everything going on and that I don't pay attention to the real world. I'll get so far in my own head that I will space out and forget what I'm doing. Do you do this too? If you do, let me know in the comments. I want to know that I'm not the only one who feels this way so we can chat about it. So let me know in the comments if you and I are the same girlfriend. I cannot wait to hear from you. So like I said, the first key to solving this problem is to take out a piece of paper and write down everything that you need to do. Literally everything. Write it all down. Papers, care plans, taking your dog for a walk, making food. Seriously, do not forget that one. Please eat during nursing school. I know that one's easy to forget. Just write down what you need to do. Step study everything. Just write everything down. Get it all out of your head and onto a piece of paper. I promise you will feel about 10 pounds lighter when you do this. Just brain dump. Get it all down on paper. And now step number two is to prioritize that to do list. Okay, for real, you would not survive nursing school if you had to do all the things right. I mean, there is just no, not enough time and it would be crazy land. So you need to prioritize your life. And the best way to do this is to prioritize that to do list that you just made. So I like to do it this way. I go through my whole to do list and I write a number next to each of those to do list items. So, number one, here's what I need to do first. Number two, here's what I need to go do second. So just go through that to do list and put numbers next to each one of them based on where they fall in that priority list. Now here's a bonus tip for you. If there's something that's on that list that's not super important or doesn't really need to happen, just give yourself that mental space in your mind and cross it off. My friend, cross that sucker off of your list. If it's not really important or doesn't need to get done, give yourself a break and cross it off. It does not need to be on your priority list. So once you've got your list of priorities, the third step is to schedule it. And you'll need to schedule these things in your planner so that you reserve the time to get them done. And you have a plan. So when you have all of your priorities written down in your nursing school planner, you won't be wasting your time wondering what to do next. It will just give you that mental space to relax your mind and know that everything you need to do is already scheduled in your planner. And when you know what to work on and when to work on these things, you have a plan in front of you so you can just follow that plan that it's laid out. Seriously. This will greatly decrease your stress in nursing school. And get this. We are releasing the first edition of our nursing school planner. This baby is amazing. It's beautiful.
