All right, let's talk about the DRC critical thinking model in nursing school. So D stands for definition or description. This is just high level. What is the definition or description of whatever you are learning about? And then R reason or rationale? Why does this happen? So let's say you're going over the pathophysiology of heart failure. Well here you would write out what's just the description of heart failure. Like basically what is going on? And then the reason or rationale would be the pathophysiology. So why is it happening? What is the pathophysiology? And then connection. How do does this topic relate to all the other topics that you're learning about in nursing school? So connect heart failure back to, you know, hypertension or other disorders that you're learning about. Connect it all back together. What's the signs and symptoms that you would expect to see? What's the nursing assessment you would do? What nursing interventions would happen? What diagnostic tests might you do? All of those things come here down in connection. So DRC definition or description? Reason or rationale and connection. This will help you critically think in nursing school.
