Hi, I'm Dr. CJ Meadows, head of the Consulting Management Specialization of SP Jain School of Global Management's Global MBA program. Um, if you're watching this video, you're probably interested in our Consulting Management program, so let me share more with you about the program and about me. My doctorate in business administration is from Harvard Business School. I specialized in IT and international management. I am a former Accenture IT consultant from Washington, D.C. Got a CPA and a CMA. I later joined their strategy management consulting practice in Singapore advising clients all around Asia. If you join the Consulting Management Specialization under me, I provide personalized executive coaching and mentorship to all of my CMs. And, uh, you'll network not just with me, but with all of my network, with Consulting Management alumni, um, and I've pulled together an industry advisory board of friends, wonderful, terrific people who are partners, former partners, and co-founders of consulting firms big and small. By the way, I also co-founded two consulting firms. Now, the, um, the industry advisory board, they have experience, uh, in KPMG, Accenture, Infosys, McKinsey, all kinds of places. Not only that, uh, I'm also the head co-director of I2E, our Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, which I co-founded at SP Jane, and we have about 30 or 40 mentors. These are folks who are happy for you to reach out to them for advice on your potential startups. You can tap on them for expertise or any number of ways. So they're I2E mentors, and they're corporate folks, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, angel investors, technologists, futurists, business strategists, designers, all kinds of amazing people. So you can reach out to them as well, and they're happy to help. Now, um, it's important for you to know as well that in your first trimester of the program, you would be doing industry research. Basically what that is, is you figuring out what global trend or technology or anything at all that you think, feel is important for the future, and you want to get to the leading edge of that so that you establish your expertise in something that you're passionate about and you bring that expertise to your clients. I will help you choose an area of expertise based on what you'd like to do and, and what the future is, or if you already know Great, no problem. You would be doing secondary research, going through industry reports, consulting reports on, on whatever it is, articles, and I would help you connect with world-leading experts for expert interviews, which is also important for getting jobs later, tapping on people for expertise. Your social network is very important. In order to do that, I will help you build up your LinkedIn profile and any other way that you want to present yourself to the world as a professional. I love LinkedIn. I've got my own website, drcjmeadows.com, D-R-C-J-M-E-A-D-O-W-S. And I'm profiled in other places as well, such as on the SP Jain website. And I can help you with those things. Now, in your second and third trimesters of the program, you join a student team to do a real consulting project for a real corporation. Now, I like to get my guys a mix so that you can do one tech startup and one big corporation. And the reason is this: not only does the future belong to tech startups— corporations will still be here, but they are under threat. Um, so you will want the big corporate experience. You will probably go out and get a job in a big corporation, but they will be interested as well in your startup and disruptive innovative capabilities. So another reason to do that is because when you do a project for a tech startup, you can do the entire business strategy of the organization, the venture capital pitch, the market survey, get involved in development, get involved in marketing and sales development, all sorts of very high-level stuff which you wouldn't necessarily be able to do in a corporation. That said, for the corporates, my groups that I supervise generally do growth strategy, operational review, something with digital transformation, market growth and market research, et cetera. So it's all good, all interesting stuff. And I would be, I normally supervise all 3 of those projects for my CNs. Okay. I can't think of anything else that I always tell people. Um, so now that you've heard all of this, if we do schedule an interview, It'll be my time to listen to you and address your concerns for your learning, your growth, your career, and how you will help everyone else grow the future. Thank you very much.
