Hi, I'm Dr. Cj Meadows. I'm the area head for the GMBA specialization in consulting at SP Jain School of Global Management. I have a Doctorate of Business Administration from Harvard Business School, and I started with Accenture's IT consulting practice about 30 years ago, and then moved to Asia, and joined their strategy practice about 15 to 20 years ago. I was working on a banking project with a former bank CEO, and the lead partner on the engagement said to me, "Become his best friend, because yes, he knows banking, but he doesn't have consulting skills." I thought, "What are consulting skills?" Well, that's exactly what you would be learning if you joined this program. Most of the program will give you the solid grounding of an MBA, but there is a certain amount of the program, about 30%, which will help you learn consulting skills such as how to form client engagements, scope the work, write the, the contracts, manage a project, manage scope creep, grow relationships, how to engender trust and listen well to clients. So that you can help them build their business. Now, there are a few things that are special about the program. First of all, we have one of the top 100 executive coaches in the world who will be offering team-based and individual-based executive coaching. Another thing is the mentors. So we've, we've gathered a group of mentors especially for you to tap on. And these are former partners and executives from EY, BCG, McKinsey, KPMG, a whole host of firms. Another thing that's special is the certifications. If you join the program, you would be certified in design thinking by the top consultancy in the world in design thinking. Also, IBM is offering certification in IT fundamentals for consultants. You get a little experience hands-on with blockchain, artificial intelligence, Watson, making apps, a whole host of things. This program is different, elite, exclusive. We're only accepting a handful of students with the top test scores and either a background in consulting or deep industry specialization. This program would be useful if you are in one function and trying to move to another. For example, you're an IT for a person who'd like to get more into business process or business strategy consulting. This would be useful if you're working for a local firm and you want global experience, so you'll join one of the global big name firms. It's also useful if you are in industry with deep experience in one firm, but you'd like to enter the consulting world and bring your industry expertise to a variety of firms. We're only accepting the best, and we need you to be at your best because you'll not just grow one business, you'll grow many.
