Hello and welcome to day 5 of 21-day live challenge. As many of you already know, I am doing a 21-day live challenge where on November 2nd my book Small Town Bigger Dreams paperback edition is launching. So I have done— I've started doing a 21-day live where I come live on various social media including Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and occasionally Instagram, as today and every day I want to talk about different things. And we talked about why I'm doing, and yesterday I had few of my friends, my accountability partner Abu and Taiba. And today I want to talk something which is really close to my heart, and this is something that you, I believe, should also try, and which is validation. Now, what exactly is validation? Now, when you're doing something which is creative in nature, at times you want to reach out to people who validate what you're doing. But at the same time, you don't need to reach out to people who you— who will drag you down. I mean, if you've not heard the story of people, uh, you have not heard story of What is that? Barrels and crabs in the barrel where one crab want to get out of the bucket, other crabs pull him inside. So you don't want to validate there, but you do want to validate with people who want to lift you up, who want to, who want to be part of your journey, who want to help you. So today I want to share one of those validation. It goes on in about one year or more than one, one 15 months, to say, when I had this idea of writing this book, Small Town Bigger Dreams. I, I started working on the first or second chapter, and I wanted to know whether what I'm doing is actually making sense or it's, uh, yeah, it's, it's a complete garbage, to say. And that time I reached to a couple of people to know what is their thought. So I had written the introduction, uh, chapter I reached to two people. One is Taiba, who was there yesterday, but the other person who I want to talk about today, her name is Priyanka Saxena. I know her for a year and a half and two years, and she's really good at what she does. I thought I'll probably reach out to her and understand her perspective and whatever I'm trying to do, is that making sense or not? I reached out to Priyanka saying that, I'm writing, I'm trying to think about writing a book, and I've written one sample chapter, and do tell me, is that making sense or not? And that's where this message came. So I wrote one chapter, and then I, uh, I did that, uh, share that with her. And I'm gonna share my screen for people on social media. I'll probably switch my camera for people on Instagram, if you could see. Let's see. All right, yeah, I hope it's visible. Uh, when I provided her, she gave me the validation. She said, thanks, Haritosh, even though I don't feel worthy to review. These are some of the points: it was easy to read, it was feel-good factor, it seemed a promise, self-help, uh, And then if I move on to a smooth transition, language was good. The point here is that she gave me the validation that I was looking for. As, as a creative person, we all need those validation at times. Are you, uh, are you reaching out to someone who's there to validate your dreams? It's all about getting those bigger dreams. Are you someone who's reaching out to person who are having bigger dreams, or somebody who's actually going to turn off— turn you off, to say figuratively? So be really, really careful about who you're reaching out. And also, when someone reach out to you for validation, are you giving them some positive nudge saying that you are doing great, dude, you're doing great, girl? Keep it up? Or are you one of those crabs in the barrel who's saying that no, this is not for you, you, you're doing bad? Uh, be a positive person, man. Be a positive validation for someone. You never know who you are giving the validation to or who you are getting the validation from. So this was a short video for today where I talked about the validation I received. I received a similar validation from Taiba as well. And Taiba has been there yesterday, so I don't want to talk much about that. But thank you so much, Priyanka Saxena, for providing me the validation last year. If I would have not received that validation, not received those words of encouragement, I would have probably not finished the book so far. So thank you so much, and take it as my gratitude to you. Uh, so for all of you, As I said earlier, think about who you are validating or who you can reach out for validation. The world is full of positive, encouraging people, and you don't want to miss that opportunity to reach out to them. So that's all for Day 5 of 21-Day Life Challenge. I'll be back again tomorrow with Day 6, something different, something exciting. And if you have any ideas, feel free to put it in the comments. I will go through that. So, and if you haven't checked out my book, Small Town Bigger Dreams, is available for pre-order on Amazon as well as on Flipkart and my publisher's website, White Falcon Publishing. So go ahead, if you want to try it out, do it. The book will launch on 2nd November. I am so looking forward to your positive comments, share, and all. Thank you so much. Have a great rest of the day. Until next time, keep learning, keep growing, and keep going out of your comfort zone. This is Haritosh Srivastav, and I'll be back with day 6 tomorrow.
