Hello and welcome to day 14 of 21-day live challenge. It's only 7 days before the formal launch of paperback edition of Small Town Bigger Dreams. And as I promised yesterday, I have got an inspiring, interesting personality today. Those of you who do not know Akash Garg, who was actually a chartered accountant by profession, is also a coach and As he say, he's a massive action taker coach, and he's the one who really inspired me to go on this journey. So thank you so much, Akash, uh, for joining us today. Thank you so much.
My pleasure, Haritosh Srivastav. Really excited to be here.
Yeah, so I know you have limited time, I have limited time, so I don't want to waste time on going through the fluff. But if you can give us probably your journey in short, 1 or 2 minutes, what has been your journey That would be great for our audience.
Uh, all right, so as you said that I am a chartered accountant, uh, but I am into a very unconventional, uh, thing that, uh, you know, most of the people around me, my relatives and my friends, don't even understand what I do, what I earn money from, uh, where I earn my livelihood from. So basically, I coach people, I coach entrepreneurs to take action. Now, what do I mean by that? Uh, there are a lot of people who have big dreams, big aspirations. Uh, they want to accomplish a lot of things in life, but they keep on overthinking, overthinking, overthinking. They keep on procrastinating. They are waiting for that perfect day. They are waiting for that perfect, um, you know, opportunity, that perfect, uh, business partner, that perfect business product. Which never happens. So that is because of something that is stopping them in their mindset. So I help people to get their mindset right so that they can get ahead in their life.
Yeah, that's beautiful. That's beautiful. And I can quite relate. I think it was about November of 2020. That's when we got associated because I was at the stage where my book was about 50-60%, but I was not sure how to go forward. And thanks to you and your coaching, you really propelled me to like, you have to get this completed. And a lot of success of the Small Town Bigger Dreams owes to you. So thank you so much once again.
Thank you, thank you, Haritosh Srivastav.
All right, so, uh, there is one specific thing, and you talked about mindset, and this is specific about writers, that there's lot of mindset barriers about writers, that am I the right person, Is my message correct? So what is the message about those people who think that maybe I should become a writer but I'm not good enough?
So problem with the people who are writing for the first time is, especially with the first-time writers, that they have a huge burden of expectations on their head. They've— they have read books of Tony Robbins, Robin Sharma, the great people, right? All the big, big, big people, they have read their books. So their standards that they have set for themselves is really high, and anything below that standard is not acceptable. That's like a failure. That's like, uh, they are fooling people. They feel like that. It's something which will not add value to people. So hence, when they get onto the paper, when they start writing, huh, uh, obviously the— when they are writing their book for the first time, the level might not be at that if they are not a writer by habit, if they have not written a lot of blogs, so the writing will not be at that level. So they feel that my message might not be good, it might not resonate with people, I might not add value to people, it will not benefit anyone, I'm just fooling people. So hence they never publish their book, right? But that is actually an incorrect evaluation that is going on in their mind. People don't want perfect in today's time. See, right now we are sitting, we don't have a perfect background like Oprah. Absolutely right. We are not waiting for that perfect studio setup when, uh, wherein everything will be all right. Everything, although you have got a great background, but that's the point. We are not waiting for that perfect thing. People in today's time want authenticity because there are people at different stages in life. Now, if I am facing a particular problem and if Haritosh Srivastav, with few examples, with few points, can tell me what I already know but in a different way, with a different angle, and that can help me 5% also, and I bought his book for 200, 300, 400 bucks, and 5% value addition in my life. That's huge.
That's huge.
That's huge, right? So rather than trying to write a book that will completely change everyone's life, which is— which doesn't happen, you know, which never happens. I haven't read any book which completely changed my life. One book which changed— yes, gave me different perspectives, gave me new horizons, but you know, it was a combination of multiple things that I did. Absolutely. Not just I read, that I did, that I followed. Multiple coaches that I followed, multiple speakers, multiple things, huh? And that built my mindset. So just write your material and get it out in the market, and then write better next time, and then better. Probably your 5th book will be a New York Times bestseller, but for that, first of all, you'll have to write 4 books 4 books. Yeah, and you have to live with that feeling that it's not a New York Times bestseller. You'll have to survive that.
Yeah, yeah, that, that's so true. That's true, true. Uh, now you alluded to something which also you are a big proponent of, massive action taker. And it's not only about writers, but you do, as you said, you coach a lot of entrepreneurs and everyone. So what is, if you have to give a high level of what the whole framework is all about and how do you help people? Could you tell us about that?
So basically, uh, there are multiple models in which we help people. Uh, our sessions, we have kept our sessions to be very economical also. So my, my, um, my fonda in life was that, uh, education should not be only for people, uh, who can, who have big money in their pocket, especially in a country like India. I would want that, uh, this kind of education should go to people even if they don't have money, but they have a hunger in their heart, they have a desire in their heart. It should be with, uh, so we conduct 5 Days, uh, uh, Massive Action Master Class wherein we give lots and lots and lots of techniques, values. We take all the questions that are there in your mind, and it is only for ₹99, right? So we start from there and, uh Yes, the higher level programs range up to ₹1.5-2 lakh, ₹3 lakh also, but those are primarily for people who are in their established business or they are looking for something wherein they have reached to ₹10 crore turnover and they have an aspiration to go to say ₹30 crore, but something in them is stopping them.
Awesome, awesome. Okay, I— we do got— we generally don't get too many comments and questions, but today we have got a question from my friend Divya. She says that I feel that writing a book is easier than promoting it. And what do you suggest? How do we promote better? So that should be really helpful for me as well. So what do you suggest?
Yes, yes, exactly. So when people think that, oh, my manuscript is ready, now I'll be an author, now I'll be rich, then they don't understand that writing a book is just, you know, one-third of the work. Huh, that is like, uh, you have made a video now, huh, you have written a book, you have, you have some content ready. Now the main thing is to make that message from your side to hundreds and thousands of users holding that book in their hand. Yeah, so that is very important. Now what mistake people do is they say, oh, my book is How to Become a Massive Action Taker, please buy it, please buy it, please buy it. No. This is not how people will, uh, be, uh, curious about your book. This is not how people will, uh, be curious about your material. See, people— everyone has their own pains. Everyone wants to go somewhere, right? So rather than talking about your book yourself, your book yourself, you, you, you, you, you, start talking about people while you are promoting your book. That how can your material, how can your book Help them, huh? Give a glimpse of that. Tell some chapters, some, some, some excerpts from the book, some examples from the book. Talk more about your journey, like how difficult it was for you, how you overcame that. And when you are telling about yourself, don't only talk about your degrees, your qualification, your work experience. Talk about the emotional aspects of yourself. Like, people buy a person first. People buy an author first, huh? If they'll buy you, Haritosh Srivastav, if they'll buy me, Akash, if they'll buy Divya, then what will happen? Book is very easy to buy, and they'll, they'll buy your coaching program also for ₹5 lakh or ₹5,000, whatever it is. Yeah, but first they'll have to buy you. So talk about your emotional aspects, how you were stuck, what was your biggest fear, what was your biggest vulnerability. Talk about that, how you overcame that. Now if they'll get inspired by that, wow, yeah, this is my problem also, I was also facing this, uh, oh, wonderful idea, this guy is awesome, let me read the content. Then that purchase happens.
Absolutely, love it, love it.
Second, second thing, very important thing is collaboration. Yeah, like collaborations like these and other collaborations. You can collaborate with multiple, uh, influencers on social media. You can collaborate with multiple YouTube channels. Make sure that you are, um, like it happens in movies also, right? They go to Kapil Sharma Show, they go to this show, that show, they go to Bigg Boss, they go to this college, this mall, everywhere. They reach to as many eyeballs as possible with their message, with their entertainment. So you can't just sit at home, you can't just be sitting in your own Facebook and think that millions of people will come. Reach out, be a Rohit Shetty. Yeah, we are Rohit Shetty of, uh, the book industry, wherein you're reaching out to people. Yeah, you're collaborating.
Absolutely love it. So yeah, provide value through gain and then also reach out. And that's probably what— why I'm doing this 21-day live challenge. So thank you so much, Akash. I know we have limited time, we all need to go live on Instagram. So thank you so much. And I would have loved to personally gift you my book, but it's not possible. I've— but I have ordered it physically and look forward to your feedback and review. Thank you so much for everything that you did for me and for all the other people that Thank you so much, Haritosh Srivastav.
You are a great human being, you are a great person, and you are a very, very, very, very, very helpful person for others also. And your insights, uh, your, uh, your intention to help people, that is amazing. So guys, if you're watching this even today or even after 1 year or 10 years, because this is real estate which will stay forever, so even if you're watching after 10 years and Haritosh Srivastav's book you can find on Amazon, please order it.
Thank you so much. Thank you so much. So that was Coach Akash Garg. We will be going live on Instagram, but I will be back tomorrow with another interesting person.
