The biggest challenge was allowing the small mistakes to be part of the video.
I was not getting the words to speak on the topic given. That was the biggest challenge for me. Like, to make a video of 1 or 2 minutes, like, I had to spend 40 minutes, 30 minutes to draft the content. And then the second challenge starts to record that video.
Initially, I was having this misconception that whether I would be able to get anything from this, because I was not that good at storytelling. I always feel that I can't share my things, whatever is there inside me, I can't share to the world. And also, I was not confident speaking on camera. I am a working mother. I'm having two kids along with family. It was not easy to record each and every video every day. I was not able to speak in continuity. I had to take a lot of retakes. I was so conscious that whether this video is perfect or not. I was having this, that perfectionism thing.
I was not able to manage my time. I was not able to record regularly. One of the challenges was about shyness. I was not very extrovert on recording videos and all. It was like too much strain on my mind on giving a speech. I used to be a bit worried and little bit conscious because a few of the challenges were like that. Camera is your friend.
When people come and when I'm in a classroom or when I am doing things on my own, I'm able to do I'm able to make an impact either through my services or even my talking or even my presentation and so on. But when the cameras come in between, that become like a completely— I'm losing the orientation to get this going as successfully as I would do.
The biggest lesson I think in going through any process is that we think we wait for the clarity to come to us, but the real thing is that clarity only comes after we take action. So whatever clarity of thought or information we are wanting, that lies before— sorry, after the action, not before it. The biggest plus point of Confidence Storytelling Hub is that you have weekly live sessions. It's not like a course that is going to sit in your laptop forever and ever, and you're going to speak with real people. You're going to learn from them. It's just so amazing to be here.
Now I feel comfortable while speaking in front of a camera or even on a stage. So that's a change I've seen in me. So I'll say that only a single moment at completing this challenge, fighting against my own inner voice, which always come to come and say Yeah, it's not required, we're just wasting your time. So like fighting against your inner voice and completing the challenge is a breakthrough moment for me.
So in today's time, if you're looking forward to get somebody who you can trust, who can be by your side, and who can root for you, then you should go for Haritosh Srivastav. Most important thing in today's time, you don't want to go with the smartest person, you don't want to go with the most knowledgeable person, you don't want to go with the most talented person. You want to go with somebody who has a great attitude. And if you are looking for a great attitude, it's Haritosh Srivastav for you.
Time management has improved a lot. I know how to manage time. It built a lot of confidence as well. Means now when I speak into meetings, I am more confident. I'm more camera friendly. I know how to face a camera. I'm able to better connect with audiences. I'm saying now I'm not much worried while I'm speaking in front of camera. Now I'm not using much filler words which I used to do in past.
If you give me some sort of a video or if I have to do some sort of a video for my own program, it has given me an edge that I can straight away jump in it, start doing it and get it going. Anybody out there is looking for a committed coach and a group which can help you to uplift. As a group, I can represent and say we are here. As a committed coach, we have experienced from Haritosh Srivastav, and Haritosh Srivastav is someone who wants you to succeed. So if you— he wants you to succeed more than you want you to succeed. So if you want somebody to be of this sort of a mentor or a coach then I would invite you to come and experience it. You must— in fact, if you are committed as much as Haritosh Srivastav, you will learn a lot.
But I used to only tell myself that my worst video is always better than the video that I have never shared. You know, within the community, I'm talking about from a space of learning from each other, you know, that is something which is very important. When you look at people doing amazing things, you would also like to go ahead.
My experience was really great. I have become more vulnerable. I'm not just thinking about what would the other people think. I can't be sugarcoated. Previously, I used to be like that, what would other people think? So that has been the impact now. So I'm more comfortable sharing my story.
