From Self-Doubt to Storytelling Champion | Venkat’s 21-Day Transformation

In this interview, host Haritosh Srivastav welcomes Venkat, an engineer‑turned introvert coach, bodybuilder, fitness trainer, and entrepreneur from Chennai, who has been a member of the Confidence Storytelling Hub since 2024. Venkat shares his experience completing the 21‑Day Video Confidence Challenge, describing how he posted the first video on day one, motivated peers, and used each daily post to tell personal stories rather than merely fulfill a challenge. He recounts specific obstacles, notably a demanding 12‑14‑hour work schedule and a mishap in Japan where he lost his residence, ATM, and room cards, yet turned the incident into a gratitude‑driven story that reinforced his confidence. Venkat emphasizes that gratitude uncovers stories, that internal rewards outweigh external validation, and that taking action without excuses builds lasting confidence applicable to both personal and professional realms. He recommends the Confidence Storytelling Hub, credits his mentor Haritosh, and encourages others to post videos to overcome self‑doubt and fear of judgment.

Then one day I found the reason. If we are grateful for the day, then we get a story. I lost my residence card, ATM card, all my cards in train. I reported Tokyo police station and online. It is not for others, it is for us because the biggest reward is internal. Most of us are in self-doubt and fear of judgment. Most of us are busy in their professional— no one is watching you. So post the video and come out from your self-doubt and fear of judgment. It creates confidence in your life, not only public speaking but also in your personal life.
Hey everyone, welcome to another episode where we are talking about all the finishers, where we have people who have completed 21 Days Video Confidence Challenge. And I know you have already seen a lot, but this one person is a real true champion, so I am very sure you are going to enjoy this Conversation. So help me welcome Mr. Venkat. Hi Venkat, how are you doing?
Yes Haritosh Srivastav, good evening to all. I am happy to share my experience in this video. Thank you.
Yes, I'm so looking forward to, but let's start by telling us about yourself in probably 1 or 2 minutes.
Yes, I am Venkat. I am from Chennai. I am an introvert coach. I help quite successful people transform their life to confident action takers. Basically, I am an engineer. I am a 15 years experience in material and corrosion specialist. Apart from that, I am a Mr. Chennai, Mr. Tamil Nadu bodybuilder. I am a certified fitness trainer and I am a businessman, entrepreneur. Successfully completed my business for 3 years.
Wow!
I am a member of Conference for Healing Hub. My mentor is Haritosh Srivastav. That's all.
That's amazing. And yes, it feels so proud to have you as part of the community. You have so many accomplishments, but what I love about is your humbleness and your willingness to learn new things. So tell us about your last identity, which is you've been part of Confidence Storytelling Hub for how long?
I, I have been, uh, since year 2024, nearly one year I'm a part of Confidence Storytelling Hub.
So nearly a year, that's amazing. Yeah, and I think I've seen your journey, it's completely amazing, and you continue to inspire so many members. So I know you have completed a few challenges in the past, but this one was different. This one was 21-day video confidence challenge. So how did you find, how did you find this challenge? What was your experience like?
Yes, in the 21 days challenge, I posted my first video on first day. I was the first person. I motivated others and others post on the video, and immediately Prem sir and Dinesh Ji all posted video on first day. So I was— I'm proud that I was the first person post on the 21 Days Video Challenge.
Yeah, awesome! And how did you find the overall journey like?
Every day I said to myself, Venkat, all are busy in their activity, in their professional, no one is watching. Just to post a video. So that is the motivation created me to post on the video. Every time there is always fear of judgment and self-doubt. So I said to myself and create a content and post the video. Moreover, I always in the all the videos I share the story, not just video challenge. I posted every day as a My personal story. That's brilliant.
Awesome. That's amazing. Now tell us, uh, any, any challenge you take, any journey that you go on is not always smooth. It's not always going upward. Always there are some downward. There are times when you face certain issues or problems. So tell us about some of your problems, one or two problems you faced, and more importantly, how did you overcome those?
Yes, in the May month, um, I was a bit occupied with my office activities. Every day morning I reach office by 8 and leave by 10. So it was difficult to me to post a video, but somewhat I posted a video. But I was looking story every day. I was looking some story and post a video. Then one day I found the reason. If we are grateful for the day, then we get a story.
Wow.
Example, on May 3rd weekend, so I was in Japan. So I plan to move to India on 31st May. So my friend said, uh, explore Japan. So you, you will be in the remaining days only, so you will always explore Japan the weekend. So on the day, in the third weekend, that is May 3rd weekend, Saturday, I lost my residence card, ATM card, all my cards in train. So I lost all the cards, card holders. I reported Tokyo police station and online, everywhere I complained, and I got a duplicate key from my admin office. Then I reached my home and I, at the day, I was so grateful because my friend said, Venkat, you lost ATM card but you don't have money in the ATM card. You lost a room key and nothing in the room. You can get a duplicate key. You lost residence card. Anyhow, you, you will be up to May 31st only. You will be in Japan. So no more it's useful. So nothing to worry. Why you are worried? So enjoy remaining days, remaining 10 days. So I, I was grateful on that day, and at that night I said to myself, Venkat, today you got a great story to tell in the 21 Days MBA Challenge. So next day I shared the same story in the 21 Days MBA Challenge.
Yes, yes, I do remember.
And another one thing I would like to say Within 4 hours, I got a mail from Tokyo Metro, and they said, mentioned that we found your cards, and you bring your ID proof and collect your cards. So next day morning, I got all the cards— residence card, ATM card, uh, that is a room key, everything— because of grateful gratitude. Wow. If you are grateful for any situation, you will get a great story on the day. That is the message.
That's amazing. I'm gonna use that line somewhere for sure. If you are grateful, then you'll find some amazing story. And, and putting to the point, uh, before that you were saying that, no, you were leaving to office about 8 AM, coming back at 10 PM, means almost 12 to 14 hours of work. But then also you kept your resilience, you kept sharing, and unless you tell anyone, nobody knew. And I think that shows the commitment that you have when you take up something, and it shows everywhere. So kudos to you and the way that you looked at things, and kudos to your friend as well to give you the right perspective, right? Yeah, everything is temporary at the end of the world. So it's only a matter of 10 days that you find So amazing. What I loved is the sentence that you said, that if you are grateful, you'll find amazing stories. And as they say, in a speaker and storyteller's world, there are no bad days. There are good days and there are good stories to tell.
Yes, correct.
Awesome. So what was your main breakthrough moment of this whole journey?
Every day we can do or say excuse. That I, I always take action, I don't say excuse. And if we say excuse, that also sometimes feel acceptable one. So that's not a bad one. So that's, uh, I found on that.
Nice, very nice. You don't have to have an excuse, you can just take a pause also. Amazing. And what has been the impact of going through this whole challenge? Like, you completed the challenge you are one of the few who completed. Uh, what has changed afterwards?
In my opinion, if we start any activity, then we need to complete. Yeah, it is not for others, it is for us, because the biggest reward is internal. Yes, external reward is not giving— not big motivates, but Internal reward motivate us to do many things in our life, not only video challenge. It motivates to take challenge in our personal life, professional life, etc. So this kind of 21 Days Video Challenge that create motivation to challenge in my life.
Very nice. So do you see yourself more confident now?
Yes, yes, definitely.
Awesome. So what is your message for anyone who want to go on this journey of, you know, building confidence, learning speaking and storytelling?
This 21 Days Video Challenge— most of us are in self-doubt and fear of judgment. Most of us are busy in their professional. No one is watching you, so post the video and come out from your self-doubt and fear of judgment. It creates confidence in your life, not only public speaking but also in your personal life.
Absolutely. I think in this, the era that we are living, you need to be able to brand yourself, and best ways to brand is by creating content and posting and posting videos, etc. Awesome. So the last question for you is, you've been part of Conference Storytelling Hub for a year now. Would you recommend others to join?
Yes, definitely. I can say my mentor is Haritosh Srivastav, and I informed all my friends, my colleagues about my mentor Haritosh Srivastav and Conference Storytelling Hub. And I post a lot of stories in my LinkedIn, and they all asked me, where you join this course?
How?
I said, I joined Conference Storytelling Hub. I am a storyteller. So I always tell to others about Conqueror's Tutoring Hub.
Thank you so much, and that's amazing. And like I said, your determination, your grit, even though you were toiling for 14 hours, but you made sure that you're posting videos. You went through some really difficult time losing all your belongings and cards, etc., but still you have that perspective that, okay, I'm gonna get a really good story out of it. I think that makes you a champion and that makes you a leader. So thank you so much for being part of Confidence Storytelling Hub. Thank you for showing your leadership for others. And I know you have selflessly provided feedback to so many people. So I really want to help you. And you are one of the official facilitators of the group as well. So thank you for your service and I wish you all the best.
