Okay, now you should be able to see me full. So why I'm doing this live, what I'm going to cover today, and why this is such a special Independence Day. In fact, about 2 months back, I told my mother-in-law that this Independence Day is going to be very special because I am going to celebrate Independence Day in India, and that has actually manifested. For those of you who do not know yet, I am back in India. I'm right now in Noida and very much back. So today in this live, I am going to cover some of the life updates, some of the big changes that has happened over the last couple of months some of my future plans, and I'll also give you an opportunity to come and be part of this. So if you have any question, feel free to ask any question. I would love to answer the question. And also I'll tell you how you can become part of something that I'm doing. Uh, so let's start. And I want to ask you a question: what does freedom mean to you? What does independence mean to you? For me personally, freedom means having the ability to take decisions, having the ability to choose to do what I want to do, and also the ability to say no to things that I don't want to do. I don't like to do. So think about it, what does independence, freedom mean to you? It reminds me of a great story. This is a story about a crow. Yes, there was a crow, and the crow looked at the mirror And he was completely astonished by its own beauty. It felt that, I am the most beautiful creature in the world, I am such an amazing creature, look at me, look at my black color, I look so sharp. And then one day the crow looked at a swan. The crow looked at the swan in disbelief. Wow, how can someone, a creature, be so beautiful? The crow couldn't stop himself, so he went to the swan and said, Swan, swan, up until now I used to think that I am the most beautiful creature But I saw you, and now I think you are the most beautiful creature. How do you feel being the most beautiful creature in the world? The swan smiled at the crow and then said, you know what, crow, I used to feel the same. That I am the most beautiful creature. There is no one more beautiful than me. And then one day I looked at Parrot. I thought I am the most beautiful creature, but then I looked at the Parrot. Parrot had beautiful green color and it had its very beautiful beak. So I think parrot is the most beautiful creature. Crow seemed to agree to that. So then he went on and tried to find a parrot, and he luckily got one. So he went to the parrot and he said, Parrot, parrot, I used to think I am the most beautiful creature. Then I saw a swan, and then I realized swan is the most beautiful creature. But I— but when I talked to the swan, it said, 'Haritosh Srivastav is the most beautiful creature,' and I seem to agree to that. How do you feel being the most beautiful creature of the world? The parrot also looked at that. And smiled and said, Crow, I used to feel the same, that I am the most beautiful creature in the world. Look at me, my green color, my peak. But one day when I saw a peacock, I was floored. Look at the beautiful colors, look at the wings, look at the dance that peacock was doing. And from that day, I realized I am not the most beautiful creature. Peacock is the most beautiful creature. The crow once again seemed to agree to the parrot. So on his next venture, he tried to find a peacock. He looked at many places. He couldn't find a peacock. And then He saw a peacock in a zoo. There were a lot of people taking pictures. Peacock was in that. So when everybody left, the zoo was closed. Croco— crow slightly flew inside the zoo, went next to the peacock and said, you know, peacock, I used to think I am the most beautiful creature. But then I met Swan, and then I realized Swan is the most beautiful creature. But then Swan said parrot is the most beautiful creature, and I agreed. And then I— you know what— then I met parrot, and parrot said peacock is the most beautiful creature, and I seem to agree. You are the most beautiful creature I've ever seen. How does it feel to be the most beautiful creature? The peacock looked at the crow, looked at the prison around it, and said, you know what, Crow, I used to think that I am the most beautiful creature, but after spending so much time inside this zoo, inside this prison, I realized that crow is the most beautiful creature because— not because of its color, not because of its feather, But because you are free, my friend Crow, you are free. You can move anywhere, and there is no better beauty than having freedom. And this is what freedom means to me. What does freedom mean to you? Write down in the comment section. I love to know. Now let's talk about why I'm here, what are some of the updates, and what are some of the future plans. So for those of you who do not know yet, you must have seen my passion for storytelling and public speaking through all the social media updates that's happening all the things that I do, and I had been doing it for some time. And there comes a point in time where if you have found a passion, you want to go all in. So somewhere towards the end of the last year, I realized that I have to go all in. With storytelling and public speaking coaching. I've been working towards it for some time. I've won a few speech contests. I'm a certified world-class speaking coach. I built a community called Confidence Storytelling Hub where we empower working professionals entrepreneurs, coaches to sharpen their story, to share their voice with the world. So I realized I cannot go half in, and very soon I had to make a choice, and I decided that in the month of July, I'm going all in. So 26th of July, that is the last month, towards the end of the last month, was my last day as a corporate employee. I've been employed with amazing companies for over 17 years, but I figured out that I am more passionate about this work of helping people, empowering people, letting them have their voice, share their stories. So I've decided to go full on. And related to that aspect was another thing, which was the movement. For almost a decade, uh, first time I went out of India was in 2015. So almost a decade I have been on or off, on and off, out of India. Spent few years in UK, few years in US, and I realized that this is the time for me to come back, for me to bring that global experience global exposure, global insight to the people of India. And that is why in the month of July, not only I came out of my corporate job, I've also come back to India. Right now as I speak, I am in Noida, and I'll be basically putting my base camp near Noida itself. And my purpose, I decided, is to empower a million people by the year 2035 in helping them find their voice and share their stories. If you resonate with my mission, type mission in the comment. I love to have your comments in there. I need a lot of energy and support as I put on this new hat of a full-time coach. And if you don't know, my venture is called Confident Storytelling Hub. So that's the major life update I wanted to share. I've shared it on the post, but I thought I'll probably come live because there's no better day than Independence Day to celebrate my freedom with you over here. A lot of people actually ask me, why are you doing this? What is the reason? Have you done your analysis? We are engineers, right? We do a lot of analysis. And the answer to all of that is actually yes. I've done a few analysis and I also followed a few principles and framework. So I'm going to share with you some of my frameworks that I used, which I learned from various mentors, coaches. And celebrities as well. So one of the most profound framework which I learned was the framework from Jeff Bezos, which called— which is called regret minimization framework. And Jeff Bezos in a video talks about that when in life he needs to take a big decision a decision which is gonna shape the life, a decision where he is not sure between two options because both the options seem right. During that time, Jeff Bezos used this principle of regret minimization framework. Now you must be wondering, what is this regret minimization framework? So the regret minimization framework is when you have two decisions in life to take where both seems right and you're not sure which one to choose. You are on the crossroad of life. You think ahead. You think of yourself as 80, 90, 100 years old, and from that reference, think about this decision and visualize yourself taking both the decisions and saying, in which case are you going to regret less? That is why it's called regret minimization framework. So when I was on a crossroad whether I should continue with the corporate job, which was a very good job, I really liked it. It is— it was with TCS, Tata Consultancy Services, India's top IT service provider. I was in the UK doing good job and there was a lot of opportunities for me also to grow. So I am not going to be one of those who's had a lot of negativity about the corporate world. So I had that one part, and there was this other part, which thing which I'm really passionate about, thing which I really love. And I took my own time to visualize both the decisions, pros and cons. And then it became very clear using that framework that I need to go full-time as a coach. I need to give it a shot, the best shot, because this is what I am passionate about. This is what I love. As Steve Jobs said, that you cannot connect the dot forward, but you can always connect the dot backward. So you have to have trust that whatever you're doing is going to connect forward. I was able to connect many of the dots of my life. I had my own fear of public speaking when I was growing up, but at the same time I always seeked opportunity to speak. I wasn't a singer, dancer, magician, but I used to do anchoring, especially in college time. Used to do anchoring, and that too in Hindi, because There was of course less competition, but I love to be part of those. I— another aspect I could connect was I always liked helping people. In fact, there were times in my college where I was actually helping more than studying myself, and that was my way of studying, by teaching. Even during this corporate tenure, I had many people who I mentored and coached, and I got mentored also by many people. So when I started connecting the dots, I knew this is my calling. This is what I really, really want to do, and you can feel it from my voice. And that is why I am so excited and elated to start, or rather to scale Confident Storytelling Hub, a hub where whether you are a working professional and you want to excel in your job interviews, in your promotions, in your team communication, in your customer communication, in your sales messaging, in your branding, we can help you. If you are an entrepreneur, you want to have your founder story You want to have your product story, you want to have your customer story, the testimonials, we can help you. Or if you are a coach or consultant who want to have their own heartfelt stories, who want to have their own conversion story, the inspirational stories I'd like to invite you to come and be part of Confident Storytelling Hub because I am on a mission, as I said earlier, to empower a million people by the year 2035. In the last 3 years, when I was doing this as a side hustle, spending a lot of time over the weekend I think I've built a really good base for you to learn, to grow, to network. In our community, as of now, we have people not only from India but also from Ireland, UK, Switzerland, as well as United States of America. We have entrepreneurs, working professional in insurance, in IT, in tech. We have coaches, fitness coaches, organic lead coaches. Life coaches. I also want to take a moment to express my gratitude and thanks to my family, and especially to my wife, who's been a great pillar of support. Me being the only working person in the family in the UK, it was definitely not an easy decision for both of us, but my wife really stood by me. I'm really truly grateful to have her as my life partner. Also my parents. My mother is no more, but my father, he's been one such person who never forced me to choose any career. So if you don't know, my father is a retired government homeopathic medical officer. And most of his friends' sons, daughters actually go on and become doctor. But never once he asked me to become a medical professional. He asked me, what do you want to do? And I chose to be an engineer and then an IT professional. And then when I said that I am going to do this He said, I have no idea what you're talking about, but I know if you're saying with this confidence, you know what you're talking about, and you have my blessing. So what does independence and freedom mean to you? For me, this is this. So I've already talked about what is that I'm going to do, but I also want to take a moment to talk a little bit more about the Confident Storytelling Hub. And the plan ahead. So if you want to visit Confident Storytelling, Confident Storytelling Hub, you can go to school.confidentstorytellinghub.com and you can see there are different types of membership. So what do I do? So first one, we have something called Silver Membership. Which means that you become part of the community. We follow the 5 Cs as part of the Confidence Storytelling Hub. The first C is the courses. We have a number of courses. We have a Storytelling Mastery course and a number of bonus courses which you get access to once you join the Confidence Storytelling Hub. As a Silver member. These courses are available on desktop laptop but also available on an app, so you can actually access all the material through your smartphone as well. The second C that we do is called coaching, because only courses is not enough. We also have Live coaching right now, it is on pause, but starting September I'm going to resume the weekly mastermind coaching session where every week we have live sessions on Zoom where we teach concepts, we get guest speakers, we give opportunity for the members to practice storytelling and also get feedback and improve. The third C that we have is something called challenges. We have done a little bit of gamification, and we run something called Storython, wherein for a duration of 4 to 6 weeks, the participants go through a storytelling challenge wherein they learn all the aspects of storytelling, starting from mindset and obstacles that they need to come to learning about how can they find stories, what are the sources of stories, how they can discover their own stories, to how can they use different frameworks of storytelling, what are the nuances when it comes to delivering the story, how you can wow your audience with your storytelling skills. The fourth C is called certification, wherein anytime a member completes a course or completes a challenge, they get a certification. And we do celebration every 25 mastermind session. So we have a full celebration where we want to acknowledge the achievements of our members. And the last one, my favorite, is the concept of community, because learning becomes so much fun. I hope you will agree to that. Learning becomes so much fun when you're learning together with others, when you have a community to fall back upon. I've been part of many communities, and I owe a lot of success to them, whether it's personal and professional communities, community for charities, communities for learning, communities for communication. Many of you know that I've been a Toastmaster for over 8 years. That is also a community-based learning. So here at Confidence Storytelling Hub as well, we have a close-knit community of about 80 members wherein they do a lot of collaboration. We do a lot of celebration and also we throw some ideas and get suggestions. We have some accountability groups which are doing amazing, fantastic. So that's the Silver membership that we have consisting of 5 Cs. Courses, coaching, challenges, certification, and community. And this is open for anyone who wants to come and join the community. And then we have— we don't currently have the Gold membership available. We are not enrolling anyone in Gold membership, but we also have something called Diamond membership. Now this is what I call an outcome-based membership, where people who have a specific outcome required— for example, I have had client who wanted help with their storytelling for interviews, or they had a keynote coming up and they wanted to work together with me on drafting them. That's what we do in Diamond Membership, wherein people come with a specific outcome in mind and we work together for 6 to 12 weeks to make sure that they are reaching their outcome. So this is a brief about the Confident Storytelling Hub. If you have any question, feel free to send me a DM or a private message. I would love to give you more details, or we can set up an introductory call to discuss more about that. Awesome. And there is an announcement that I wanted to come and do, that is that now that I'm available for a few more hours, if you have any events coming up If you have any hosting requirement, or if you need a speaker who can talk about storytelling, public speaking, communication, and confidence, I'll be more than happy to serve your communities, your events, etc. So do reach out for that as well. Or if you need a detailed training on storytelling, I can do that as well. The last announcement that I have is about the relaunch of Confidence Storytelling Hub. One of the things that I've learned from my mentor is that you have to constantly upgrade yourself and your offering to your clients. I have been constantly working on myself. In fact, I have spent probably over ₹25 lakh on myself in the last 5 to 7 years in upgrading myself, going through various learning programs, various high-ticket programs as well. And now I'm working on the next version of the Confidence Storytelling Hub. Once it is ready, we are gonna have a celebration. I'm gonna launch it, and hopefully we'll be coming live here on whichever platform you are looking now, maybe LinkedIn, Facebook, or YouTube, or any other platform that you're looking, will come there live as well to share more details about you. So before I go, I want to know what is so special about this Independence Day up from your end? I love to know that, so please put it in the comment section. I love to know that. And once again, I wish you all a very, very happy Independence Day. We must nurture, we must care for our freedom, for our independence, because our independence is not free. We need to to pay for it. We need to make sure that we are valuing our independence, which we got after so much of struggle. So thank you so much. Signing off now. Haritosh Srivastav. And as I say every time, until next time, keep learning, keep growing, and keep going out of your comfort zone. I'll see you very soon. Take care. Stay
