I Have Never Spoken in Front of Camera Like This - Most Improved Award Winner

In this Finisher‑style interview recorded on January 3 2026, host Haritosh Srivastav talks with Shivangi Chandra, a housewife who joined the Confident Storyteller Hub’s 15/21‑day Finish Strong Challenge. Shivangi shares her background—running a fledgling business and aspiring to become a life coach—and explains why she entered the storytelling program. She describes her initial nervousness about recording videos, her reliance on ChatGPT for story ideas, and how she gradually gained confidence, improved speaking skills, reduced grammatical errors, and shortened video‑recording time. Her favorite task was the weekly Live Huddle, where participants prepare and present stories on the spot and receive feedback. Over the course of the challenge, she went from taking 15‑20 minutes per video with many retakes to a smoother process, noting a drop in correction frequency after 5‑10 videos. Shivangi received a completion certificate and was awarded “Most Improved Storyteller,” which she cites as a key aha moment. She reflects on the broader transformation in her perception and mindset, emphasizing increased confidence and a willingness to pursue new goals. Finally, she urges shy or hesitant individuals to join the program, highlighting the importance of mindset change and consistent practice.
Chapters
I've got a very good experience and I've seen improvement in myself also. Yeah, first I faced a problem in making a video first time because it's new to me and we have never instant try to get a story in our mind that how we post. I have never speak like in front of camera like this.
Nice.
It's a change our perception and little transformation. I am also housewife. I definitely never thought of that I can do anything, but after joining this—
Hey everyone, welcome to another Finisher interview. First of all, Happy New Year. Now you might be watching this video after a few weeks in 2026, but we are recording this at the start of New Year. We are recording it on 3rd of January, which shows that we have a big pipeline of interviews. So, you know, one of my greatest joy is to be able to interview my successful mentees, people who have completed the 15-day, 21-day challenges in the community., and I love to interview them. I love to hear about their journey and what they accomplished, etc., etc. So in that series, we have the first interview of 2026. We have a coach joining us from Prayagraj, Shivangi Chandra. So let's get Shivangi here. Hi Shivangi, welcome.
Yeah, hi Haritosh Srivastav.
Awesome. So let's get started. Why don't you tell us about yourself in short, 1 or 2 minutes?
Yeah, hi, myself Shivangi Chandra. I am a housewife and I have started one business which is not totally succeeded. So I joined this storytelling and I want a little— got interesting interest in that and I little bit want to continue this journey and want to become a life coach in the 6 to 7 months.
Mm-hmm, very nice. And tell us about your experience. So you joined at the end of November, and in December you participated in the Finish Strong Challenge, right? So what was your experience like, and what were your some of the top learnings from this challenge?
I've got a very good experience, and I've seen improvement in myself also. And my learning was that I've become little bit confidence. As usual, I have not before. And the great learning was speaking skill will developed and how to introduce ourselves and how to get, uh, tell story to everyone, uh, and what the mindset will be get developed in that.
Very nice, very nice. So tell us about— we had 15 different tasks and you created also a video. So I want to ask you 2 questions. Number 1, which one was your favorite task? And question number 2 is, tell me, tell us honestly, how much time it took for you to record the first video and how much time it took for you to record the last video?
My favorite task is the live hurdle. Which is I prepare instant and we give— got feedbacks also on that.
Yes, yes.
And the second is when I make video, I'll take 15 to 20 minutes and do— we do edit also some, and 2-3 times we make video and then we set up at the end, right?
So how was it like at the start of the challenge, how much time it took for you to record one video? And posted in the group versus for the end of the last challenge, how much time it took?
I took at least, uh, 15 to 20— 15 minutes at least.
Okay, so it took you 15 minutes consistently?
Yes, yes, because most of the time when we record video, uh, we see it's not correct in form and we have to delete it and do another video.
No way, I understand that.
Awesome.
And did the frequency of correction reduced? I mean, the number of times you had to—
Yeah, yeah, little bit. It's now it's reduced after 5-10 videos where we've seen the frequency reduced. And little bit I've seen also my grammatical mistakes also it's improved now.
Yes, very nice, very nice. And for the audience, Live Huddle is that we meet once in a week where The focus is for members to practice storytelling. So I show them the prompt, I show them the video. We also give them some time to prepare, and then they share the stories live in the session, and they get feedback from other participants and also from me.
Awesome.
So now tell us about some of the problems or challenges you faced during this challenge, and how did you overcome those?
Yeah, first I faced a problem in making a video first time because it's new to me and we have never instant, uh, try to get a story in our mind that how we post, uh, that story. So most of the time we see a search on ChatGPT also to see their story and how to make, how to get learn, right? And yeah, overcome is that a little bit confidence after developed when we post at at least 8 to 9 stories when we, uh, have become habitual of this. So it's a little bit overcome that our nervousness was gone from that after posting the videos.
And are you still using ChatGPT for writing the stories?
No, no, right now I'm not using. When starting, we used it because we don't know how to get the stories. So, but right now not using. What comes in mind, I will tell it on videos also.
Love that, love that. So tell us about your main aha moment or breakthrough moment of this journey, of this whole challenge of the month.
Main aha moment was when yesterday we got that certificate which we was not expected. I was especially not expecting that my name will be there.
Yes, yes. So yes, so for the context, Shivangi of course got the certificate, she completed the challenge, but she also was awarded as the most improved storyteller. And this was because I saw her on day 1, and then when I saw it at the last live huddle, she was, you know, amazingly different and was doing very, very good. So that's why it was— she was awarded as the most improved storyteller. Awesome. So, uh, let's talk about the outcome or the impact. So what do you think has changed after you participated in this challenge? What has been the outcome?
The outcome was that like, uh, I've become little confidence. And right now, like, I am speaking. I have never speak like in front of camera like this.
Nice.
It's such a change, our perception, and little transformation we want, it will develop, I think, in 1, 2, 3 months.
Absolutely. And we can already see the transformation happening and you becoming more and more confident and spontaneous. Awesome. So Shivangi, what is your message for anyone who want to go on this journey of building confidence, learning storytelling, etc.?
My message was kindly everyone who was shy and but have dream and want to do something in their life, they have definitely, they have to join this coach. And we have most improvement we will got after joining this. So we have definitely everyone have to change their mindset. That we can't do anything in life. Everything will be done when you decide to be passionate in that.
I love that, I love that. Yeah, nothing changes until— unless you change your mindset and start taking relentless action. Awesome, thank you so much. So I think you already answered, but I'm gonna anyways ask you the last question, which is, would you recommend people to join Confident Storyteller Hub and why?
Yeah, definitely I will recommend if anybody was interested and after seeing my video if anybody want to join, I definitely recommend. Why? Because I, uh, I am also housewife. I definitely, and I didn't, uh, want to, never thought of that I can do anything. But after joining this and as your guidance, as the Beena Ma'am guidance, we are definitely, it's changing our life. So everybody who want to do something, they can join this coach and change their lifestyle also.
Absolutely. Thank you so much, Shivangi. And just want to put it out there that being a housewife is a lot of work. It's not easy, and if you're able to manage that, you can definitely manage a lot of things. So it's again comes with the fact that you said the change in the mindset, right? And you are the testament to that. You have been consistently working on your skills, consistently working on your stories, showing up in almost all live sessions, taking every opportunity to express yourself. So I'm so, so proud of you. Congratulations and story power to you.
Thank you.
