Okay, welcome everyone to day 11 of Story Spark session. We are in week 2 and we are again looking at different aspects of our life, finding different stories. So today's session is also very interesting because this is going to remind us of all the people who have shaped us in our life. Who are the people? What have they done for us? So that is what we are going to do today. So in today's Story Spark session, we are going to look and try to remember some of the people who have shaped us, what is the kind of impact they had in our life, and how we can share their stories along with our stories. And we end with again some powerful affirmations. So why we should remember the people? Because those are the people who shaped us to become who we are, right? In our journey, we interacted, we learned, we grow, and lot of people who have been there to support us, to challenge us, to make us grow. And that is what we are going to do, right? So it could be a teacher, it could be a sibling, it could be a friend, it could be a stranger, it could be somebody who doubted you. Anyone in this context who helped you, who challenged you, who make you grow. So let's get our pen and paper ready. I'm gonna start sharing the music. Okay, good morning, Rajesh ji.
Good morning.
Okay, so just a quick summary. Today we are looking into people who shaped our life. So we are starting the journaling process where I will give some prompts and you are going to write down the one or two people who shaped in your life journey. All right, so let's get started. So close your eyes for a Few seconds and start thinking about those 1 to 2 people who have truly influenced your journey. It could be a big influence, it could be a small influence, but think about and don't think about everyone. Whoever comes in your mind first those 1 to 2 people. And then now you can start journaling. Who was this person? What did they do or say to you? What did they do for you or say to you that made an impact? What was the impact? What was the effect of that activity that the thing they said? And how did this whole experience made you learn a lesson, made you grow as a person? And what has happened after that experience. So now I want you to start— open your eyes and start journaling. Let's journal for 2 minutes, write down the stories. You don't need to write the whole paragraph, but 3 pointers to remind you of, like I said, who was that person, what did they do for you, or what did they say to you. What was the impact on you? How did it affect your journey? What did you learn from that whole experience? And how has that helped you to be who you are right now? Take another 30 seconds to Wrap up the— and then we'll go in the test. Okay, I think we are Done with the journaling part of it. So now let's go into the sharing part of it. I want to first hear from Dinesh ji because he joined first, so first come first serve. So Dinesh ji, would love to hear who was the person or persons that shaped you in the journey.
When I was young I used to visit my father's shop. My father has a provision store. So there a young man used to come. And whenever he used to come, he was very well dressed, whereas most of the other people, they were a bit sebi and they used to wear not that impressive dress. So every time when I used to see him, I was thinking that, "What is the difference between this man and others?" And once I had been to him, he said that it's always important that whenever you are, wherever you are, you should be well dressed. Well dressed doesn't mean that you should have costly clothes. But whatever you have, try to put them nicely. And this again reminded me of my classmate. His mother was not there. He, his brother, and his grandfather. His brother was not married, his grandfather was there. But he used to always press his clothes There was no one to put a button in his shirt. At that time, the button used to get torn very fast. He used to keep pin, just he used to keep pin, but always his dress used to be pressed, neat and clean. So this is what I learned, that try to be tidy, neat and clean as and when it is possible, at least.
Amazing. Thank you so much. That's a perfect story showing the importance of dressing to the occasion. Awesome. Story power to you. And now let's hear from Rajeshi. Rajeshi, you can unmute.
Yes, yes. Okay, good morning everyone. So when I, uh, the moment you said about it, the person who influenced you in your life, the first name came was of my father. So So I just recall that, uh, there were so many incidents which he used to taught me, and still I remember, and then find that has a great impact in my life. So first, like, I find that my father was my first mentor to be, to, to become a professional. He was the one who, when I started my career, so he he used to guide me so many things like this, what you have to do, this should be done. So that actually, uh, from, from my first job, it made me alert in terms of what kind of, um, terms and conditions we are, uh, the companies, uh, sharing with us, what we are supposed to take care of, all those things. So that was, uh, that made me my professional career smooth and, uh, you know, very, uh, transparent and confident. So that was the first person. Another person when it came into my mind was definitely yesterday I said about BSR, like, yes, he completely changed my life in terms of investing on myself, learning and shaping my life. And after that, there's so many mentors which I learned a lot from them. You are one of them, so I'm so thankful to that. So when, like, when you, um, you know, ask to know those people, to recall all those people, there are so many people in my life, like, I feel that I'm keep learning from them. So I'm thankful to all of them. These two names I just wanted to mention it.
Thank you so much, and that's really impactful. So yes, story power to you as well. And I also quickly take about 30 seconds to talk about one person who really influenced my life, and that is my grandfather. So I lived with my grandfather till, uh, the age of 18 or so, and then I moved out of this. So my grandfather is one of those role models. He, he was very strict, but what I learned from him is the role model leadership, which is he was not only preaching, he he was practicing. So if he says wake up every day early, he used to wake up every day at 5 AM. If he says that, no, take care of your body, he was the one, even at the age of 85, he used to go for morning and evening walk, used to take care of all of his things. He had a huge library of books and he was reading every day. So this is what I learned from him, that don't only preach, practice what you preach, then people will actually take you seriously. So that's one person who really impacted in my life, and like so many people we all had, that was one huge impact in my life. Awesome. So now let's go around the room, and I wanted to ask about— thank you, Rajeshi. I wanted to ask about how did this activity made you feel. Uh, let's start with Dineshji. Dinesh Ji, how did this activity make you feel? Unmute yourself, you are on mute.
Yeah, so the activities that you are saying, yeah, it's very good, working well, but it's my drawback that I am not that regular. What I thought is At least I should have small, small story based on every day. But anyway, I am declaring now today, so I'm going to get started.
Yeah, yeah, don't wait for the perfect day. Make the day perfect by recording every single day.
Correct, correct, correct. Awesome.
Thank you.
Should not wait.
Yeah, do not wait. Yeah, yes.
Anyway, I promise today at least I will write I will not write, but at least I will make a story.
Yes, you can write, you can make a video, you can make a podcast, but everything starts when you start collecting. So if you see the whole journey, whether it's in StorySpark or in general also when I teach, it starts first with the mindset, and the second step of it is collecting stories. Because when you have the collection, or when you have the treasure, then you can choose which one you want to share, where, based on the context and based on the audience and so many other factors. Awesome, thank you for sharing. Uh, let's go to Rajesh ji. Rajesh ji, how did this activity made you feel?
So, uh, this activity, first of all, uh, this activity made me, uh, realize that yes, uh, gratitude is very important in life because who, uh, whatever you are, it is not only you it is influenced by others also. And when you get good learnings from others, you need to be grateful. And another thing with what I realized is that in, in our day-to-day life, we don't get that much time to go deep into things. But when you, uh, when some hack or some question is there in your mind, you, uh, then you go deep into it and you realize There's so many things in our life, story is there at every point in time and at every moment. You just need to recall it, to need to, you know, realize it, uh, and recite it. That's it. So that story is there with you.
Awesome. Thank you so much for sharing. And now let's go to the final activity of the day, which is where we will get into some powerful affirmation which is based on the game context of today. So you're gonna now see the affirmation one by one on the screen. I will say it first and then we'll do it together. So please unmute yourself. So the first affirmation for today is: I honor those who shaped me.
Everyone, I honor those who shaped me. Awesome.
Next one is, I carry their lessons in my voice.
I carry their lessons in my voice.
And the last one for the today, for today's Story Spark session is For the people who we dedicating, who learn, for I carry their—
I share their light through my story.
I share their life through my story.
Awesome! Thank you so much for joining. Have a fabulous day filled with a lot of stories. Keep collecting and keep sharing your story. Take care. Yes, Dennis, just say something.
Yeah, one minute. How do you write this? I share their light through me. What is the process for writing it?
You mean on screen or you mean the affirmations?
Yes, this affirmation. How did you do it? How do you do it on Zoom?
How do I do it on Zoom? Okay, so I'll finish the recording and then I'll share you what I do.
Yes.
Okay, so thank you so much. Have a great day everyone. And for those who are wondering this question, I'll tell you, I use OBS, but I'm gonna explain the Dineshji in detail after the session. So have a great day everyone. I'm stopping the recording now.
