Hello everyone, my name is Taiba Mahmood and I am a mentee of Haritosh Srivastav.
I started this course because I wanted to learn to tell stories better. I wanted to learn to speak better. I wanted to know more techniques and how I can really structure and piece everything together in a more meaningful way. I mean, I've got some public speaking training.
I'm Claire and I have been to several, I think pretty much all of his workshops and webinars and teachings by now.
Thank you to Haritosh Srivastav for the last 3 months that we've spent together. He's really helped me to go further into this journey than I expected. From day 1, he was always pushing me to go harder and do the best that I could.
Myself, Nandini Dubadhyay, I have a 14-year Experience in an IT domain like server security infrastructure. I have a core technical guy now moving into the management side, taking on operations and other stuff.
So I'm trained to, uh, you know, speak prompto anywhere and everywhere, so it's okay for me. So I worked with Haritosh Srivastav, I think 2 months back, 2-3 months. It's been 2-3 months, and, uh, I, I used to tell him at that point as well that I run my own pod I am Vandana Bhagaria, or I am taking training from Haritosh Ji.
Though I have taken earlier also, I am so impressed with Haritosh Ji, the way of conducting classes. And today I want to make a recommendation for Haritosh Srivastav. So my journey with Haritosh began in the year 2019 when I was just beginning my public speaking journey. Back then I had no idea of how public speaking works, what are the nuances, and how can I become a better speaker. But thanks to Haritosh Srivastav, he was always in the journey with me, helping me out, honing my skills, and continuously helping me to become a better version of myself. So once I just enrolled myself with Haritosh Srivastav in the very beginning, he said to me one line that has always stuck with me forever, and the line is "don't chase perfection, chase progress." I think that line was a game changer for me because I, when I started public speaking, I wanted to be looking perfect, I wanted to have the best speech, I wanted to be a perfectionist. And that perfection a lot of times kills our dreams of becoming a better person, a better speaker. So I think coming out of that shell of perfection was great. It really helped me progress slowly and steadily, and within a very short time, because of the guidance of Haritosh, I actually reached to the semi-final of international speaking, public speaking competition in Toastmasters International. So I was in the semi-finals of an international competition because of my mentor Haritosh Srivastav. So I owe this journey of public speaking to him, definitely. And then second part, after getting started, I needed a lot of strategies. How do I use my hands? How do I use my body language? How do I use the right expressions? What should be my pitch? What should be the intonations in my voice? So all these nuances of public speaking were taught by Haritosh Srivastav. And he taught these things very well because for past 4, 4 and a half years he has been a part of Toastmasters, which is a public speaking community. So he has really honed his communication skills and he has helped really many people hone their public speaking skills. And the third reason why I recommend Haritosh Srivastav is as a person and as a mentor, he is very supportive, positive, and he is very amiable. He will always hold your hand until the time you don't reach that final stop, uh, that final milestone, he won't shun you, he won't abandon you. So that is the best part about Haritosh Srivastav. He will never let you down. Even if you have a small doubt or a big dilemma, he will always be there around you to help you out in your journey. So what are you waiting for? Please go and enroll in the masterclass, and I'm sure you are going to transform yourself into an amazing speaker. Till this date, I have written a book. The name of my book is Unleash Your Spark. I have a YouTube channel where I continuously come and, you know, give a lot of personal development insights and strategies. And apart from that, I have other side hustles. I think all these things I have done because of my amazing mentor Haritosh Srivastav, because he always motivated me to be a better version of myself, and he always honed my skills. He helped me hone my skills. So I think a big part of whatever side hustles, whatever things I've accomplished so far, Haritosh Srivastav has been a very big part of this journey. And a big thanks to Haritosh Srivastav from the bottom of my heart, uh, for being such an amazing mentor. And I— so now you can enroll in the master class without a second thought because you have reached just the right place. Thank you and bye-bye.
Um, from Toastmasters, but I wanted to take it a step further. That's why I took this course and I worked my way through it, worked my way through it very fast. It is very good and it's very easy to pick up and take away, and the lessons that you learn are ones that can really change and build confidence on your public speaking. So I do highly recommend this course for anyone that's interested in those sort of things. And one major takeaway from me, I started the course and it was the first lesson, I think it was the first lesson, and it was within a very short time I had my first aha moment. That makes so much sense. And it was simply that all great, all great speeches, they revolve around a story, and that just stuck for me. Every video that I've seen on YouTube, every speaker that I remember from my past, my childhood even, they all had that critical story and it always resonated with me and stuck with me. And that's something that is key and something that I, before doing it, I hadn't realized at all. These things have certainly been in my mind, but yeah, so everything just clicked into place after that. And there's many other great aspects throughout it, ranging from the physical attributes to how you position yourself on a camera, how you tell a story, how you can build a structured speech. So It's so inclusive, so dynamic. There's so much in there. It's absolutely fantastic. I recommend it to anyone. Thank you.
And they say that repetition is the mother, father, aunt, uncle, brother, sister of learning. And each time some of the content has been the same, but it's always delivered in a new light. It's delivered in a new depth. And there's always more that you can learn from going to each of the different aspects that Haritosh Srivastav provides. This storytelling workshop, at first I was just wanting to make a story part of a bigger speech, but I've actually now learned that it can be the speech. I don't have to have loads of little other bits going on. And that's the, the biggest takeaway, along with more and more confidence that every time I show up, every time I get more knowledge and more time with Haritosh Srivastav, I grow to that next level.
Thank you. It actually changed my mindset, made me realize that A lot of the things that I was doing before was just gathering knowledge, not really taking a lot of action. So to have him there as my mentor, as my coach, really helped me to start changing that and starting to take more action. And the last 3 months I've done that, and a lot of it was uncomfortable, but a lot of it was actually after it was done, really helped me to understand that Sometimes that uncomfortableness pushes you forward and gets you to do things that you really want to do anyway, but you're always too scared to do that. And so that's one really big thing that I got— excuse me— out of being mentored and coached by Haritosh Srivastav. So thank you, Haritosh Srivastav, for doing that. And yeah, and all the best for the future.
Recently I joined my organization's LO initiative, like Learning Organization initiative, and I chosen as an expert facilitator. But somehow I got some feedback about me from my evaluator. You given your presentation in your native language, like it's a dream presentation. But when you go in another, like English language, there's just some challenges, there are few challenges, so need to be eliminated. Somehow I wondering how I can eliminate these things from my, uh, speech. So I've and Haritosh, uh, nearly 14 years of relationship as a friend, uh, me and Haritosh, uh, in the same college, Institute of Engineering and Technology, and also part of the same hostel and seeing many ups and downs together. Then finally I follow Haritosh Srivastav on other social media like Facebook and other stuff. So one day Haritosh Srivastav's message came to me, "How, Navneet, how are you? What's going on?" Something. And, "Can you join my this webinar, like workshop related to the storytelling?" So I just wondering what is the storytelling because I don't know about much more about it. Or there is some topic like storytelling, uh, storytelling. I think so there's the Nana, Dada, and grandpa, they are telling their story. So such type of things happen in any storytelling. But due to curiosity, I just joined this workshop with Haritosh Srivastav because Haritosh is my good friend and also we and others are close in during the our college days. So finally I joined. And I felt, yeah, it's great, great move by my side because for my self-development it's necessary to join this workshop. So I just recommend everyone, if you want to improve yourself some, some point or many point, you just go watch, join Haritosh Srivastav, any medium or Facebook or LinkedIn or webinar or anyhow, you just connect with Haritosh Srivastav. I think he will deliver to you something. Surely he will deliver to you something. It's my recommendation, only recommendation to work. Thank you, thank you, Haritosh Srivastav, for your all blessings.
I, I do public speaking, but my public speaking and my podcast and everything is not structured, so I could not, uh, see the benefits of it, as in people I think my audience is increased and people are able to relate to me much more because even if I write a post on LinkedIn, I make sure it has some beginning, some middle thing, and some end. Initially it used to just go here and there and everywhere. Similarly, if my interns or people work with me, I train them as well that there has to be a beginning, there has to be a middle point, and there has to be an end. We can't leave it in the middle anywhere. So I think these Small, small improvements, they bring about a big difference. And yeah, it is, it is visible on my profile. So if you want to see the result, you should visit my profile and see it.
Lovely, lovely. The way he guides me, I'm really— I want to do more classes by him. His soberness, his patience really made us learn more. So I would advise everyone I would say you must take classes or must take the training from Haritosh Srivastav.
Thank you.
