In this instructional segment, the presenter outlines a six‑step framework designed to help storytellers progress through four proficiency levels. The steps are: (1) Mindset – adopting the right attitude and willingness to take risks; (2) Finding Relevant Contextual Stories – selecting stories that fit the audience and purpose; (3) Crafting Stories – incorporating hooks, an emotional arc, and clear takeaways; (4) Delivery Techniques – mastering stage presence, camera work, and vocal variation; (5) Feedback – gathering input from peers and coaches and applying it thoughtfully; and (6) Iteration – repeating the cycle to continuously elevate storytelling ability. The speaker emphasizes that each step builds on the previous, and that mindset is foundational. Real‑world examples of volunteers taking risks are referenced, and audience engagement is encouraged through chat prompts.

What are the 6? And 6 is what are the 6 steps you want to elevate storytelling levels? We talked about people who are at level 1, level 2, level 3, and the level 4. But the question comes is how can you elevate? What are the different steps required? And when I was thinking about that, this was exactly the steps I have taken, community members have taken, and all lot of storytellers have taken. And you have to take these 6 steps if you want to increase, go from level 1 to level 2 to level 3 to level 4. So what are the 6 steps? Number 1 is mindset. As they say, skill set without mindset leads to upset. If you don't have the right mindset, sorry to say that you might not be able to elevate your level. You have to get into the level. For example, we have seen 3 examples already today. People who have volunteered, people who said, yes, I do not know how I do, but I'm gonna take the risk, I'm gonna come here and present my story. People may like it, people may not like it, and that's completely all right. So you have to— first thing is you have to upgrade your mindset. The second step is you have to find the right relevant contextual story. Now this might not be that important when you are at level 1 because you're still struggling to tell stories. But when you are going from level 3 to level 4 or level 2 to level 3, you have to tell the right stories because as good as storytelling is, if you don't tell the right story or if you tell the wrong story, it can backfire you as well. So this is where you need to find the right stories. The third step is you have to craft stories. You need to know the elements. How can you hook your audience? How can you How can you take them through an emotional journey? How can you make sure that they are having a takeaway message whenever you tell a story? Have you noticed all the 3 storytellers today had a message for you? Type yes in the chat if you notice that they were having a message for all of you here. Step 4 is when it comes to actually delivering the story. You need to know the techniques. You need to know how to present yourself on a stage, how to have the camera present, how to have the right vocal variation. And so on so forth. This is where the delivery tactics comes, which can make your stories go wow. And the fifth and one of the most important steps is getting the feedback. And there are different types of feedback. One is which is what you get from your fellow storytellers, from anyone out there. And there's another feedback which is what you get from your coaches. And you have to give the right attention to the kind of feedback they are getting. Once you complete all this, this is where you go and move to the next level, and the same cycle starts again, wherein you again start your upgrading your mindset, find the right stories, craft the stories, deliver, and get feedback.
