Unlocking the Mind: The Neuroscience of Storytelling

In this Hindi‑English presentation, coach Haritosh Srivastav explains why storytelling works from a neuroscientific perspective. He outlines four science‑backed benefits of a good story: (1) Trust – a compelling story triggers oxytocin release, strengthening the bond between speaker and audience; (2) Empathy – the brain exhibits neuro‑coupling, allowing listeners to feel the narrator’s emotions; (3) Persuasion – decisions are first driven by emotion, then rationalised, so stories can sway opinions more effectively than raw data; (4) Memory & Retention – stories embed facts in narrative structures, making them far easier to recall than isolated figures. He illustrates how each benefit applies to teachers, salespeople, coaches, entrepreneurs and interviewers, and argues that mastering storytelling is a game‑changer for anyone presenting to an audience. The talk concludes with an invitation to join his “Confident Storytelling Hub” program and a brief promotional sign‑off.
