Small town, bigger dreams. All the best, Daddy Sir. Keep rocking!
Ah, you got it, dude.
Hello.
Morning.
Thank you so much. All right.
You ready?
So it's 8:35 AM and we are on our route to drop— I mean, not with me, I am there to drop Ruhi to the school. You know what, dropping Ruhi to school is more difficult than writing a book. So, and I'm pretty sure if you have a kid, you will, you will understand that going through all the tantrum and making sure she reaches school on time is a big thing. So that's it, I'll keep you posted about how it goes next.
Small town, bigger dream.
All right, I have dropped Ruhi to school, and this is now my favorite part. So now I get to walk for 20 minutes back home, and this is where I listen to podcasts, audiobook. And keep my mindset going before the start of my working day in generally. But today is the launch day, so I'll keep you posted about it. All right, it's 9:15 AM. I'm back after the 20-minute walk, and I did forget one thing. Roli suggested me to actually offer prasad to Bhagwan. Actually, what is Roli? Bhagwan ka naam lena, Bhagwan ko yaat karna toh We'll go and get some prasad and then I'll get ready. I'll talk to you later. Almost 18 hours. So it's amazing. All right, it's 10 AM and I've finally scheduled an email newsletter. Email is one thing I want to do every week, but I seem to miss out almost on weekly basis.
So yeah, this is—
this today was very special, so I thought I will let my email audience know definitely about how they can join the book launch event. So I've just scheduled the email which will go in about 1 minute, and I hope I'll get some people to join then. And I'll keep you posted. Next up is to get ready, uh, we do have some more things to come. Hello everyone, it's 11:51 AM and I think it's time for me to get the special thing that I prepared for this— not I prepared, I got it prepared for this special book launch. So let's see what it is. Let's reveal the secret in a moment. So we are almost there. So this is the shop, Cake Box. Let's go. Hello, I had ordered the cake, the picture cake. Thank you so much. Whoa, that's the first look. Amazing. Thank you so much. See the first look of the cake. All right, okay, all right, that's the first look.
What do you think?
It's amazing.
Oh, wow! Good evening, everybody! I cordially welcome you all to the much-awaited book launch of Haritosh Srivastav's debut book, Small Town Bigger Dreams. So what is Haritosh Srivastav's hometown? Where is he belonging?
Johnabrahampur, Johnpur.
That's a pretty, pretty good cake. That's a pretty, pretty good cake. Customized cake.
I was amazed with his commitment towards anything. Now, from anybody who knows Small Town Bigger Dreams, most of us, we come from small towns, including me. From Jaipur now to UK is a dream for a lot of people. I also like the book when he speaks about what are few learnings that he has had. We all want to talk about success, and we know how success has been overrated and how people look down on failure. But this book makes an honest effort to help you understand the only way to succeed is to learn from your failure.
And of course, when your best buddy has a book and he launches, I mean, you feel all the way more special. And of course, that was the feeling I even—
I had.
But I— because I have seen Haritosh Srivastav's journey right from the beginning. It's been about 22 years that we've been— we know each other from. And I've seen him, his life, very closely, right from the day you mentioned. So I've seen all that of him. Then the way he mentioned it, it is something which is beautiful. When I read the book, I felt, yes, It is Haritosh Srivastav who's talking.
I say that, no, it's not time management actually, it's more of attention management plus priority management.
What is your writing process?
Question, be ready for a long answer.
You dream of something and you achieve it. I remember last year Haritosh Srivastav mentioned that he wants to write a book. Power of Chapters: The Power of Love. If you are a dreamer, I highly recommend do pick up this book without any shadow of doubt.
Congratulations for this book and thank you for inviting me here. So as you can see, I have this book. I'm the only person in the world to have this book. So if I talk about the book, I have read the introduction and the first chapter till now. And also talking about the COVID so there is one thing that I noticed. First of all, very amazing cover. And I saw, uh, you can see that there is a figure of a man, obviously Haritosh Srivastav, and then there's city. But then something that I noticed, the shooting star. So I would like to add here that this is Haritosh Srivastav's mom who is watching him from there, and she is very proud of him and smiling.
Let me call her.
Yeah, give me a minute. Yeah, Devi, if this was not part of the script, Haritosh is going to have a very difficult time now.
Actually, it is the worst period of, uh, for all of us last year, but he has utilized this time in such a great way, so I'm really proud of it.
Had it not been the support of wives and the partners I think, which is very, very important, without which half of India or majority of India would not be doing the things that they would be doing. They go unsung. They, according to me, are the real heroes. So let's give a round of applause to Haritosh Srivastav.
Thank you, thank you, people.
I'm not anything without her support, so it's not possible that she being there, even though I say she's best friend but also one of the worst critics. So I'm choosing this shirt versus the other shirt, whether I should wear a t-shirt versus or a shirt, or whether it's about the bigger decisions of life. She's always there for last 9 years, and, and I'm so privileged to have her in my life.
Uh, one thing I want to say, uh, that whatever Haritosh Srivastav is today, it's just because of his parents. They are the only one who has given him such good values. I really admire the values rich was the nourishment he has got, uh, from his family. And, uh, whatever he is today is just because of his parents. That's it.
Don't define by yourself by other standards. Define your own self. What do you want to do? And then go for it.
