In this short video, the speaker introduces a single, high‑impact speaking technique called “number posting.” By explicitly stating the number of points, tips, or items they will cover (e.g., “I have three tips for you” or “we have nine items to discuss”), speakers create a clear, structured roadmap that the audience perceives subconsciously. The speaker explains that this numeric framing signals organization, safety, and progress, using a travel‑milestone analogy (counting down kilometers on a journey) to illustrate how people feel more assured when they see measurable advancement. This one technique can make you instantly a better speaker. Now I'm going to give you a hack which can help people perceive you as a very organized speaker, and that is called number posting. So whenever you have to share a key insight, you can say that I am going to share this one thing from with you today, or you can apply these 3 tips, or we have 9 items that we need to go through. What does that do is it tells the audience subconsciously that you are very clear, you have a structure that you are going to follow, low and they feel safe. It's similar to, let's say, you are going from Delhi to Chandigarh and you see there is this milestone that 15 kilometers to go. Then after another kilometer is gone, 14 kilometers to go. So you feel that you're making a lot of progress, even if the bus was going on the same speed before. Now you are mentally much more assured. So similarly, if you use number posting in your speaking, it's going to instantly improve your authority and credibility.
