Hi everyone, this is Haritosh Srivastav. I'm back. If you would have noticed, for last few weeks I have not been doing much on the social media, on the YouTube, and on other front. And the reason for that is I lost my mother on March 30th. And today I thought this is a good opportunity for me to talk about what happened and what are the things that I really treasure and things that I'm grateful to her, to Almighty, etc. So let me start off with what happened, a bit of medical history for her. My mother was having diabetes, blood sugar, arthritis. But 2 years back in 2019, she went through angioplasty and stent placement in heart. Since then, she was keeping on and off in the health and On March 30th, 2021, that is one day after the Holi vacation, after the Holi, she passed away in the morning. This has been quite an emotional journey for all of us in the family. We've been really, really close to her, and it is not easy And we still can't believe that mommy is no there, mommy is no more. I've been asked so many times what happened on that night, how did she passed away. So I thought this would be a good opportunity to talk about that, and also I'll talk about what are the things that I'm grateful for. So I traveled to India. Many of you know I'm currently deputed to United Kingdom. My family was here and due to coronavirus they could not travel last year. So this year, in January, on January 31st, I came to India. I was in quarantine for 2 weeks and then my parents and my family, my wife and daughter, joined me in And there was an interesting incident that happened a few days before my travel. My mother said that I have a wish that I want to visit the Jagurudev Temple in Mathura. I said, okay, I'll take you there. I did create a vlog of that particular visit, but I did not know that's gonna be our last trip together. Moving forward, we were there in Ghaziabad sometime, then we went to Mathura, then we were in Lucknow at my sister's place. We went, we came back to Jaunpur, my hometown, and, and she was doing okay. I won't say she was doing very good in terms of health, but she was doing okay. And for last, for her last couple of days, she was not feeling well. In fact, 2 days before her departure, she could not sleep. She had sort of a muscle issue in the backbone, and that made her not sleep throughout the night. So she did not sleep. And then on the day of the Holi, which is on March 29th, she was awake full time. She was sleeping full time. We didn't even celebrate Holi much. On the day of— on the night of March 30th, she was asleep, asleep, and then At around 2 o'clock, she started having breathing issues. She used to have that breathing issue multiple times, and we used to give her some sort of inhaler that we— that the doctor had prescribed. But this time it was not getting well. At around 4:20 AM in the morning, my father called me and my wife and We came to her room. She was feeling quite uneasy, and this was— this has become a routine, and my wife used to give her neck massage and back massage to make her feel comfortable, and she started doing the same. In about 5 minutes, she had some heavy breathing, about 4 or 5 heavy breaths. And then I saw a tongue twisting within the mouth and the body started getting cold. I, I have never experienced somebody leaving the body or departing from this earth. We managed to call doctor, but that was too late. Within a matter of minutes, lost her. I can't explain how it feels, and many of you are watching live or who might— we might watch that later probably can relate how does it feel when you lose your mother. But when I look back and reflect, there are a few things which I'm really, really grateful to God. Number one, I was there with her when she left her body. That was one of her wish for last couple of years whenever she was not feeling well. The only thing that she used to tell was that she wanted me beside her whenever she leaves her body. So I'm really, really thankful to God that I was with her in this last moment. Number 2, I was able to fulfill her last wish. As I said a few minutes ago. Her last wish was to go and visit Jagurudev Temple in Mathura, and that she mentioned about a week before I was traveling to India. And I'm so glad and grateful to God that we did that travel. We took her to the temple. If I would have not planned that, we would have not gone there, probably I'll be repenting that throughout my life. Number 3, the third thing that I am grateful to the Almighty is she didn't have to suffer too much. Even though she was not feeling well for some time She was never sort of completely bedridden, had to take support for all the essential things. So things were getting difficult for her, and we know she was in pain. So we are happy that she didn't have to struggle too much, and she left for the greater good of her With this video, my only message to you all is we all have our near and dear ones. We all have people that we really connect to. Make sure that you are well connected to them, and if they ever express a desire which you are in a position fulfill. Please do that ASAP. You can plan for days, weeks, months, and years in advance, but it just takes a second to completely change your life. That's my only message. I hope you are— you all are taking good care of yourself, taking care of near— your near and dear ones. And if you have lost any of your dear ones, I'd love to hear your story in the comment section. Let me know, let me know how I can cope up with this. Loss, and what are your strategies? How did you cope up with it? Thank you. God bless you all.
