In this motivational speech, KP (a self‑described subconscious author coach from a small town) recounts a pivotal moment from his 7th‑grade result day when he received a third‑division score. The shock of that failure sparked an internal conflict between a fatalistic mindset and a hopeful heart. Choosing the latter, he became his own motivational coach, adopting disciplined habits (hard work, sincerity, honesty, commitment) he calls "Aadat." He then sought out mentors ("Guru") who taught him the power of systematic revision and provided structured learning, and he joined a supportive peer community ("Sangat") that reinforced his growth. These three pillars—Aadat, Guru, and Sangat—propelled him from a low‑performing student to ranking 4th in his class, securing admission to IIT Roorkee, training over a thousand IIT/IIM aspirants, becoming a top CAT quant faculty member, working for Fortune‑50 firms, and eventually founding a mission to create 10,000 authors by 2025. The speech emphasizes that personal worst moments can be the catalyst for creating one's best self when combined with habit, mentorship, and community.

The worst can create the best in you. 3 decades back, it was 7th June, something very unexpected happened with me that changed the complete course of my life. It was the day of my 7th class result. I was a small town boy from a local medium, lot of innocence, with a lot of excitement. I've gone to the result center. I was searching, searching, and it was 12:30. I remember I saw my name, and what I saw there, that completely surprised me. And something very unexpected happened. I got a third 3rd division. The moment I saw that, I visualized 3rd division student means I want to be— I'm going to become a laborer or a chaprasi in a company. Is this I'm going to live? Is this the life I'm going to spend in this way? That was the kind of message I was getting inside. Completely devastated. Then I didn't know what to do. Innocent boy, nothing I knew. I didn't know how to talk also. Came back, I spent some time in the Resilience Center, and I entered into my house. In fact, I opened the gate. I saw it was around 4 o'clock. So my father was having tea with his friend. I just simply slowly going into the bedroom. My father called me from there, "Hey, come, come, come. Today was your result day, right? What happened?" See, you know what happened, right? I was completely down. I didn't know what to speak over there. I told him, "Appa, I got a third division." "What? Tell me again." "I got a third division." He could not believe. He was in complete shock. Why? I'm the only son. And my father thought, oh my God, everything is finished. This guy has entered into the brigade. My father's friend was sitting over there. He called me. Oh my God, I couldn't believe you got third division. Then he told me, I have never ever seen a failure like you. He was more disappointed than my father, as if I'm his son. And I was cursing him inside. And that sentence, "I have never ever seen a single failure like you," that pierced into my heart. I was burning inside. I didn't know what to do. Then I entered Into the bedroom, sleeping room, I was not getting sleep. And there was a tussle that was happening between my mind and heart. My mind was telling, your life is finished. Third Division gone, man. Where you'll be fitting? My heart was telling, there is always a hope. Then there was a tussle happening for Some hours. And finally, I told my mind, my consciousness came and told my mind, boss, whatever happened, happened. You know that one route that you are going to fail there. Let us think about the second route where there will be success. Then let me think about that second route. And that was something I tipping point. Then I realized in that overnight I become my own motivational coach. 7th standard, become his own motivational coach. Time management, hard work, sincerity, honesty, commitment. I didn't know all these attributes of success has entered into me from somewhere. And then I came out with the resolution, I am going to do something different. And from there the journey started. So what really happened with that journey, I would like to tell you. So hi, I forgot to introduce myself. In fact, with this flow, I am KP. My subconscious author coach, small town boy, created around 200 authors and in a mission to create 10,000 authors by 2025. There's 3 points that I'm going to tell you about here that have changed my life completely. Now, what I did was I started searching for a good teacher. Fortunately, I got someone and I learned certain things from him. He helped me out. In 2 months' time, he got a job in another city and he left. What, man? I got a teacher, I lost him. But one good thing happened. That teacher has given me some beautiful concept, that is the power of revision. Revise when you complete the class. When you come to the class, next class, revise and come. Till now I'm practicing. That changed my life. So I lost him. So after that, again, I started my search. After a few months, I got another teacher. And there, my life completely turned around. His teaching was superb, structured, fantastic. And not only that, I got a beautiful community of students that has elevated me to the next level. I was improving and I entered— I got my 8th class half-yearly exam. You know what happened? Another surprise happened. Big surprise that shocked me, that shocked my family, that shocked everybody. I got 4th in the entire class. Everybody got stunned that this guy from 3rd division to 4th in the class. No looking back. 87th position in class 10th, then did my intermediate, got into IIT Roorkee. I created over 1,000 IITians, 200 IIM students. I was one of the top 10 faculty in the country for quant for the CAT. I worked in Fortune 50 companies in the world. And now I'm a successful author coach, subconscious author coach, in fact. So what really happened? 3 things that changed my life: Sangat, Aadat, and Guru. First thing is my Aadat. That day, you know, 7th class, when I got the result, sleeping in the bed, I became my own motivational coach. I inculcated these habits—hard work, sincerity, honesty, commitment, integrity, everything. Suddenly it came, and I was living that. That was my habit. Then mentor, guru, my teachers changed my life. And that one person, my father's friend, who told, 'I've never ever seen a failure like him,' he was my disguised angel. Who always, still now I say, I remember him. I love him so much. He has brought me here from this— I don't know, Guru Purnima, I think I bless him. He's still there, I bless him. Okay. And Sangat, friend circle, I developed fantastic friends, beautiful community I'm having. And because of that, today my I'm getting the great environment. So if you have these 3 things with you, Sangat, Adat, and Guru, life will change. And remember one thing. How many of you are connecting with me? I believe some or other way, Akanksha was also— I don't know, I was thinking that Akanksha was connecting to me and I was connecting to Akanksha. In your worst, you can see, you can find out, or you can create your best. Thank you very much.
