LinkedIn recommendations are more powerful than your headline or about section because they're written by other people. Most profiles ignore them, but refreshing recommendations every six to eight months gives you current social proof of your actual impact.
Chapters
The most underrated section of LinkedIn is recommendations. If you look at LinkedIn as a whole, from the top to the bottom, it's always about you talking about yourself. I am this, this is my profile pic, this is my banner, this is my about section, this is my experience, blah blah. There's only one section in the whole LinkedIn profile. I don't know what they have down the bottom, to be honest. I've actually written to LinkedIn a long time ago and say you should put this higher up. That's where people vouch for you. People are putting their name on the line to talk about you and how you've helped them. This is a social proof of every LinkedIn profile. If you haven't got recommendations, then people don't know what success or impact you've had. Get recommendations. Get them every 6 months to 8 months. Update them.
