Adam joined Beyond Insulation 13 years ago when it had four employees. The company's people-first culture helped him pay off debt and buy a home through coaching and savings plans. He's stayed through the growth, now managing sales and tackling projects like mountain-view renovations.

Hey, I'm Adam. Woo-hoo! I got my chicken legs on today. All right. Hey, I'm Adam with Beyond Insulation. I'm the sales manager here, and I started about 13 years ago when the company was just 4 employees and 2 owners, and have since watched the company grow, and I've grown with it and become the sales manager. Something not many people know about me is I'm kind of a nerd when it comes to ancient history and civilizations, religious history, and kind of how we became who we are. The things I love about Beyond are the people. They've really created a culture of growing people, allowing people to grow and become themselves as part of a team here. An example of something I'm really proud of and proud to be a part of is we've had some people here that have really struggled financially with debt and And day-to-day living. And one way we've really been able to help some individuals is working on paying off debt and getting a savings plan. And we've actually watched people go from like $20,000 in debt to being able to buy a house for their family. And that's really important that we're able to help people like that and they can see a vision and they accept some coaching from people who have been through it and done this for themselves. My favorite projects are the ones in the mountains. I can think of one specifically. It's just this ranch-style bungalow overlooking the mountains. You see wheat fields and, and the forest, and then you see the mountains in the background, and I love that stuff. Mountains are kind of my favorite place to be. Something outside of work that I kind of nerd out on is, is just being in the mountains, taking in nature, enjoying it, whether that's hiking or running or, or just having a nice, uh, relaxing campout with the family. How did you get into your field? I got into the field, honestly, I just responded to an ad. I think it was on Kijiji like 13 years ago, people just looking for general labor, and, and, um, I had just moved from Red Deer and just needed work, and, and I wasn't happy doing what I was doing before, so I tried something new and, and found these guys. And honestly, I may not have stuck it out if it wasn't for the people.
