So why is spray foam roofing a great option for your low slope or flat roof? Say you've got an old tar and gravel roof. There's your little gravel all over it there, and it's in still decent shape, and not too much of it has become wet or saturated or leaking or anything like that. All we have to do is remove this gravel, and then we clean the roof really, really clean. Then we can spray an inch and a half of roofing foam. That's a high-density closed-cell foam on top. We do 2 coats of silicone on top of that, and into the top coat we embed ceramic granules, and that's going to be your wear and tear surface and keep you safe from the elements and all those things. So this is going to add an R-9 of insulation value as well as get you into a brand new 10-year warranty. And that's why spray foam roofing is your best option for a re-roof.
