The excerpt is a first-person account from a speaker (SPEAKER A) describing a pro-bono concrete repair job performed for a local daycare to eliminate trip hazards, water pooling, and icing. The speaker explains they coordinated with one of their company owners, Curt, who approved the work, and that the crew used polyurethane foam injections to lift and regrade the concrete (rather than costly replacement), sealed joints and patched holes, and completed the job in under a day on a weekend to avoid disrupting daycare operations. Participants mentioned include the narrator, the daycare families and staff, and the company owner Curt.

So my kids actually go to this daycare, and for as long as we've been taking them, we've always noticed that trip hazard, always noticed that uneven concrete in front of the building that was causing issues. Like I said, toe stubbing, trip hazards, water pooling, and then obviously like icing come wintertime as well. And just always wanted to do something about it. And it wasn't until they had released a message to all families saying, yeah, we were aware of this, this hazard there in the front. We're looking to deal with it. I wanted to hop on that before they did something potentially superficial. I went right to my boss there, one of the owners of the company, his name's Curt. And I said, Curt, can we please do something for these guys? I wanna make it, make sure that, you know, it's safe for all these families as well as the kids and the staff. And he said, 100%, just, just go for it. So I proposed to the daycare, I said, well, what we're looking to do is like not grind it, not replace it, 'cause replacing costs a lot of money. We will lift it using polyurethane foam injections to help correct that grading. Eliminate that trip hazard and really help with water shedding away as well to mitigate any water pooling and ice pooling. And above all else, like, we're just going to take care of this for you. We're going to do it for free. We're happy to help out in this case. And like, we can't do this for everyone, but we're really happy that we could do that for the daycare, as well as sealing joints, patching those holes when we're done that we need to do for those injections. And we're taking care of everything. No cost to the daycare. We're just really happy to help them out in this case. And it took altogether less than a day. We did it, even did it on a weekend for them, so we're not interrupting their operations.
