Glenn has been a Beyond Backyard customer since 2006. His architect-designed home had water intrusion and poor insulation, so the company sprayed foam insulation under a cantilever deck structure. Nearly two decades later, he still calls them friends.
Hey everybody, I am here with my buddy, um, Glenn. Crazy story, Glenn was one of our first clients, maybe, I don't even know.
OG customers.
Back when we started, 2006, 2007, um, I met Glenn, um, by chance by estimating his project and then spraying his project 100 years ago. Um, I just wanted to ask Glenn a question. 19 years ago, 17 years ago, whatever it was, what was your experience with Beyond Backyard?
Wow, so I don't know if you remember our house, but our house was an architect's house. So it's this cool, funky house that's built in a very different way than most houses are. And even people drive by, the house beside us is an $8.5 million house. That's what it cost them to build it. A lot of times we hear, we like your house better. That's pretty cool. It's a sweet house. So it's a really cool house, architect's house. It's, um, but it creates some challenges. And so we had water coming in, uh, on the outside wall into our basement, and we needed to figure out a way to seal that And insulate, and just standard bad insulation wasn't going to work. So you guys came in and you did the whole front of the house underneath. There's a— it's kind of like a cantilever deck type thing. It's really complicated. It was pretty cool. It's pretty cool, but it, you know, it had its unique challenges, and spray foam was the only way to do it. You guys have done it, and it was a great experience, and we've stayed friends since. Yeah, for sure. We only connect every 2, 3 years. Yeah. But it's always great to see each other. So you know your contractor's done a great job when you're happy to see him, and it was great to see you. Well, thanks.
