Curt Janzen shows how to lift sunken concrete driveways and sidewalks by drilling holes and injecting expanding polyurethane foam. The foam expands to support thousands of pounds and costs 60-80% less than replacement. A follow-up covers what happens if you lift too high.

Have you ever wondered how the heck do these people lift concrete and have it stay and have vehicles drive over top of it and not go down?
Do not be alarmed by our stunning musculature.
Well, Giselle on Instagram had these exact same questions and we're gonna answer it. We promise to answer some questions that are gonna save you money and make sure that you don't have to replace that driveway that's gonna cost you a whole lot more. In this video, we're gonna talk about how it works, how it lifts concrete that is thousands of pounds, And how durable it is, even when cars and anything else can drive over top of it. How do we lift thousands of pounds of concrete, you ask? Well, it's actually really quite simple. We just drill little holes in the concrete and we inject an expanding polyurethane foam underneath there. And that foam has a reaction that can lift whole houses up if we need to. So your driveway, your sidewalk is no match for the power of foam. So polyurethane foam is a 2-part component material. One's an ISO, one's a resin.
Just think about this.
And when those 2 materials mix together, it creates this reaction that expands and can lift super, super heavy things. Polyurethane foam is super durable as long as it doesn't see the light of day. The only thing that can break it down is UV light. So we're going to protect that with that big heavy piece of concrete that's sitting on top of it. Man, if you're thinking, do I lift it or do I replace it? You should explore the option of lifting it first. Why? Because it could save you 60, 70, or even 80% of the dollar value of replacing it. It makes sense, it works, and it might be the right solution for your problem. So now that you know that you can lift it, you don't need to replace it, that could save you thousands of dollars. We're going to talk a little bit more on the next video about what happens if we lift it too high.
