Leaning In During Turbulent Times #substack #shorts

Well, you know, life is complex as it is for everybody. I think in terms of the nature of the work that we're going to talk about, you know, there's obviously aspects that are personal that connect with me personally. But, you know, we have global context of wars in many parts of the world that are going on. There's economic crises in the term, you know, we have like, you know, tariff regimes and everything else going on around the world. There's human rights backlash everywhere we go. We continue to have a cost of living crisis that everyone has their experience going through. We're seeing that marginalized communities are used in political games these days. We see the rise of the Trump effect around the world, including here in the UK. Obviously, within my own personal identity, we have the more recent Supreme Court decision that has unintended consequences, something that happens in every communication. There's unintended consequences. And so it's all of that. We're seeing a global rollback on LGBT and women's rights, both of those intersecting with my own identity. So, um, yeah, the world's a little tough right now, but that just fuels why I need to lean in and do the work.
