let's understand why

Hey, Cynthia here. I wanted to just share with you today another short video clip talking about, let's understand why. When we talk about the word why, why is a question that we ask in order to gain understanding. And Acceptance Without Understanding says, well, we definitely don't start there. And the question is, why don't we start there? Number one is that it kind of implicates Um, like, why are you different? Um, you know, why aren't you normal? Um, today it's also the intention. You don't know whether somebody's coming with a positive, caring intention. Um, and not that, you know, everybody starts out to be mean, but it can certainly come across that way and is not respectful to the other person. Um, you might be othered when you talk about somebody Oh, you're one of those, something like that. So we have to be very careful when watching the Y.
