And early on, she said, so what kind of woman do you want to be? And what I described was a trophy wife, because to me that was the perfection of the wife. And I realized that that is such a misogynistic opinion of what a woman is, just like the perception of, well, how would that trophy wife dress? And I realized it was actually driven from porn from my young male days that was— that somehow this was the normalized expected outcome. And so clearly I didn't follow that path. I realized how wrong that was and was able to correct it. And again, I'm doing this at 50 years old, so it took a while.
