Hey everyone, Cynthia Fortlage here. Happy Pride to you. It is June still. I just wanted to take a moment and in a series of short video posts, I absolutely wanted to share with you what I've learned from watching hummingbirds. Now you have to understand that Here in Medellín, Colombia, just outside our balcony, we have this absolutely beautiful tree, and it has these most amazing purple flowers. And the purple flowers only grow at the crown of the tree, and the hummingbirds love it. Now, we do have one of those red plastic— with the red plastic flower hummingbird feeders off our balcony, and occasionally they'll come and drink from it. But it's really watching them at that tree, and it's so amazing in that moment to see them kind of come in. And if you've ever seen hummingbirds, they just fly so uniquely, and they're just kind of— they're here, there, everywhere, and it happens so quickly. And it really just made me so aware to cherish that moment that we were given the gift of seeing the beauty of nature in that hummingbird. That we need to accept that we were given a gift of nature's beauty, but for a fleeting moment, not forever, not to be captured and to put in a cage, but to accept that moment as when we receive the gift of nature's beauty. That's what I wanted to share with you today. Con amor y abrazos de Colombia. Bye.
