A speaker argues that crystal meth recovery depends on certainty, not hope. Hope carries doubt and treats recovery like a gamble, while certainty grounded in your true desire creates a self-fulfilling plan. Shifting from "I hope" to "I am certain" breaks the shame-relapse cycle.

This is why you're stuck in the shame relapse loop. You have hope instead of faith. Instead of saying, I hope I can get abstinent from crystal meth, say, I am certain that I am on the right path because my heart's desire is to be abstinent from crystal meth. Hoping means that there's a doubt that it will happen. Hoping says that you're rolling the dice. But when you have a desire in your heart and you back it up with certainty, it has already happened. The plan has been set into motion. But we think we designed the plan, and that leads to unmet expectations. And you ain't God. So after a relapse or a using episode or after even a small mistake of some type, when you're feeling anxiety, that's from the guilt and the shame. Those negative emotions occur when you're out of alignment with your true self and your heart's desire. If your heart's desire is to be abstinent from crystal meth, then anxiety signals that you're out of alignment with your true desire. Because anxiety means you're fearful that it won't happen and you're doubting that your desire will come true and that your second guessing that you are on the exact right path at the right time doing the right things. Just because it is not happening in the time frame that you think or how it should happen does not mean that it is not happening. You are getting yourself out of alignment and gobbing up the process when you fill yourself with guilt and shame that causes anxiety. Alignment with your true heart's desire feels like ease. It feels like certainty. It feels like everything is happening for your best and highest, and you don't doubt it or question it. Just because you had a relapse does not mean it's bad thing. It is a part of the overall plan.
