In this YouTube monologue, Dallas Bragg addresses men in recovery from meth‑related chemsex who travel, emphasizing that hotel rooms are a major trigger and that returning home can also provoke cravings. He outlines a step‑by‑step recovery plan: (1) block access to chemsex‑related apps and websites and configure the phone with strict, teen‑level restrictions; (2) schedule precise video check‑ins with a recovery team before, during, and after the trip; (3) create a powerful personal mantra that evokes an emotional response and place written reminders throughout the hotel room; and (4) practice nightly visualization of waking up sober, feeling gratitude, and reinforcing the decision to stay clean. Bragg asks viewers to consider any additional tactics they use while traveling, positioning the advice as a concrete toolkit for maintaining sobriety on the road.

Okay, as a reminder, when you are traveling and you are in recovery from Chemsex, a hotel room is going to be one of, if not the biggest triggers. Also, expect to be triggered when you return home. Some men are making the Chemsex plans on the airplane before it lands. Here's some things to do. Number 1, and this will be obvious, Have the apps blocked, and I'm talking about sites too, like sniffies and sites like Rentman. I'm not saying don't have them on your phone. I'm saying block access to download them. Have your phone set up as if it's for a teenager. That's what you have to do. Second, check-ins. Have check-ins scheduled with your recovery team before. During, after. These need to be scheduled check-ins. This is what time I'm checking in with you. This is what time we're going to talk. It's going to be by video. You have to be very specific. Your recovery team needs to understand the importance of this. Number 3, come up with a mantra, something that creates a visceral emotional reaction in your system. That gives you an incentive not to use. It could be, "I am my higher self," or just one word, freedom. Something, something that reminds you, grounds you, takes you back to your goal. You want to have this mantra ready. You want to be repeating it before you go on the trip, during the trip. You want to write it down. You want to, as soon as you get in the room, put them on note cards and put them around your room. To surround yourself with reminders of who you are and what you want to remain in alignment with that. And finally, use visualization. Imagine yourself waking up that next morning, waking up that next morning and knowing that you made the right decision. You made a decision. You casted a vote for your best and highest expression. You casted a vote for who you want to be. Imagine that gratitude, that appreciation, that relief of waking up instead of dragging your ass back to the room at some point, missing your flight, doing all the things we do, becoming a sex zombie. Visualize that at least every night for a week before you leave, because you are giving your subconscious a plan. You are creating the future. You are remembering the future when you do that. What have I left out? What do you do when you travel to keep yourself from using?
