So cravings are gifts to you. Cravings are not signs that you're doing anything wrong. Cravings are not signs that you still want to use. Cravings are not signs that you're lower on the hierarchy in the recovery world. Cravings are natural phenomena from the subconscious. The gift to you is the opportunity to use the tools, to learn new tools, to uplevel your recovery by processing cravings in a new, beautiful, healthy way. Each time a craving comes and you process it and you don't succumb to it, you have now strengthened your ability to be sober, to be in recovery, to live your life without being pulled back by your addiction. When a craving comes, if you turn to it and say, thank you for the gift, thank you for the opportunity to level up, then the whole relationship around cravings and the way you view them changes.
