Dallas Bragg teaches a technique for meth cravings: step back from the craving and ask it rapid sensory questions. Where do you feel it? What color is it? What does that color feel like? By examining the craving's physical details instead of fighting it, its power fades.

Alrighty, here's the best way to get rid of meth cravings. You ask questions. As soon as you feel a craving coming on, your job is to disidentify with the craving and become the compassionate observer of it so you can take its power away. The easiest and fastest way to do that is to begin asking questions. Begin with, where does this show up in my body? Okay, let's say it's your chest. Then ask, okay, what color are you? Let's say it's red. Okay, what does red feel like? Let's say it's burning. Okay, what does burning feel like? Let's say that's itching sensations. Okay. What does itching feel like? Let's say that's nervous energy. Okay. What does that feel like? By the time you've asked 6 to 10 questions, that craving has dissipated because you have stopped feeding it energy. You've shined light on something that was in the shadows, and any craving with time will be gone if you can allow it to express. This practice also allows you to get a better idea about the source of the craving. If you want more on this, shoot me a DM. We can talk it through.
