Dallas Bragg, a chemsex recovery coach, explains why month four is when most people relapse after 90 days of sobriety from meth. Random triggers like old contacts or finding paraphernalia derail progress. He recommends blocking apps, changing your number, deactivating social media, and having someone stay overnight to remove the choice to use.

How do I get past the 90-day mark? That's a big question that I get. My name is Dallas. I'm a Chemsex recovery coach. Getting past 90 days is a big hurdle for many of you when you're in the last stages of your active meth use. Your cycle is going to be about 90 days. In my opinion, it's just like the seasons of the year. We're a part of the earth. We're a part of how this earth works. We also work in seasons, in quarters. So if you make it past 90 days, you've interrupted the pattern. You've interrupted your addiction cycle. In the 4th month, you're going to be hit with unexpected triggers, like seeing your user buddy at the grocery store, finding a packet of meth on the ground. You're going to be You forgot that you didn't clear out this user buddy from Snapchat. And then he, he shows up at 1 AM on a Friday when you're at your most vulnerable. In month 4, you're going to be faced with triggers that, that are not expected and could push you over the edge. That is why it is very important that after that 90 days, you have set up your life with as many safeguards as possible. You still have blocks on the apps. You still have changed your number if you have to. You have deactivated social media. You have accountability partners checking on you on triggering weekends where you know you're going to be alone. You have schedules put in place. You have people spending the night with you. You are doing everything you can so that there's no choice But not to use. There's no loop. There's no space for you to choose to use. You have to extremely handcuff yourself in that fourth month so that you continue to interrupt the pattern. You get into that fifth and that sixth months, you're getting some real true momentum running along here. But here's the thing is when we return to the same environment, we have access to the apps. We have open space where we can get bored or we can get distracted or we can sneak around and use. We return to the same environment expecting a different result. Tell me in the comments what you have done to get past 90 days in your recovery.
