In this brief tip of the day, Dan Negroni of LaunchBox urges millennials to actively seek mentorship and knowledge from older generations. He shares a personal aha moment at the San Diego Opera, where he observed seasoned professionals willing to engage and share insights. Negroni frames this as a broader mission: to bridge the gap between millennials and the five generations present in today’s workplace, using venues like the opera as unexpected networking opportunities. He calls on listeners to join LaunchBox’s effort to connect generations, arguing that such cross‑generational relationships can accelerate early‑career development and generate a larger positive impact on the world.

Hey, Dan Negroni from LaunchBox here, and my tip of the day has to do with engaging the other generation. If you're a millennial and you want knowledge, go out there and figure out how to learn from people that have come before you. You have a ton to offer. Millennials are great, we know that, but imagine the knowledge and experience that's in the next generation ahead of us, or even 2 or 3 above us. With 5 generations in the workplace. There's so much knowledge and experience to get. So the tip of the day is go get it. And that was my aha moment last night when I was at the San Diego Opera, something I never thought I would do until my good friend Carol invited me. And what I saw there was experience. I saw great people and great mentors of the generations ahead of me willing to meet and talk to me and listen and share. So why are millennials not going to the opera? Imagine what you could get out of the relationships that you would find there to help yourself be your best self. I don't know, but it's my mission. How do we figure out to get millennials to the opera, or actually get the opera to millennials? If we can do that, we can take millennials at the beginning of their career and make them the best they could possibly, possibly be. Not only is that going to do something for them, but it's going to create this tremendous impact on the world. Come join us at LaunchBox and figure out how to connect the generations and make millennials great again. Tip of the day is go find other generations to help you be your best self.
