A franchise marketer cuts a $7,500-per-month ad budget and needs organic leads instead. The solution: create separate social accounts for the franchise opportunity, post daily to signal Google and AI that it's a distinct business, link them to your landing page, and back it up with blogs and PR outreach.

Hello and welcome to another episode in the Diaries of a Franchise Marketing Agency Owner. I had a call with a client yesterday and they literally said that they need to stop all FranDev advertising immediately. That meant cutting a budget of $7,500 per month. And at the same time, they asked how can they receive more leads organically. Funnily enough, there are clients that would want to still continue to feed their FSOs or franchise development people with leads without advertising. Here's a few ideas if you ever find yourself in a similar pickle. Number 1: audit all your social media channels. And if you don't have social media channels for the franchise opportunity, immediately create one because Google needs to differentiate between your main brand for end clients that the franchisees are going to market and between the franchise development opportunity. So treat this as a separate business and create social media accounts immediately. Number 2, start posting on those accounts daily. You need to create more buzz about the franchise opportunity and you need to make sure that, uh, again, LLMs and Google's algorithms are going to understand that this is a separate business entity. Number 3, link those accounts to the franchise development or franchise opportunity page as separate social media channels. This is all going to be a good signal again for AI and Google's algorithms. And think about other ways, creative ways out of the box to promote the opportunity. Maybe write a blog about it and link it to the franchise development page. Spend some money on PR as a one-off to create some buzz about the franchise opportunity. Essentially, what you're trying to do is to create search and demand for your brand name plus franchise opportunity. This is what all your competitors are doing right now. I hope these were useful.
