I often ponder what is the most important foundational health habit of the 7 that I stick to and I track every single month, and 2 always rise to the top: sleep and alcohol. And I think fundamentally sleep is the most important. Whenever I'm well slept, I just find it that I'm much more consistent across all of my habits, and the whole of life just clicks into gear. How I think about life, the things I get done, the things I'm able to achieve, the Everything from my fitness to my work and everything else in between. But alcohol, if you don't get it under control, will stop you sleeping well. It massively interferes with deep sleep and REM sleep, and it's going to cause you to have much more disturbances throughout the night, and you will be nowhere near as well slept. So actually, alcohol could be the most important. And I think where I've settled is that sleep is probably most important, but you have to tackle alcohol first. And once you've got alcohol nailed, You then tackle sleep and everything else falls into place.
