100th episode + Bloopers! | Freedom Vlog | EP. 100

Flipping Danny and Flip mark 100 episodes of their real estate investing vlog. They trace how it grew from two hosts to a full team, recall favorite moments like Halloween and office tours, and tease Facebook Lives and more team perspectives ahead.
Hi guys. Welcome back to another episode on our Freedom vlog series. This is episode 100. You can't see all the confetti, but it's. It's a mess. Sorry, Flip. I promise to clean that up. Oh my gosh. It makes a huge mess. But you know What? It's the 100th episode. Totally worth it. I can't wait to do it for the podcast. That'll be fun.
Yeah, it was really exciting.
My nerves are like all over the place. That was fun.
We were so nervous of whether or not that was going to pop properly. Well, it did. It's all over the floor. But 100 episodes of our vlog, it's really exciting.
Yes. So today we're going to be talking about one, why we initially started this vlog. Two, what you guys can continue to expect and then just kind of like a look back just for like funsies. It's the 100th episode. Wanted to do a little bit of flair, maybe put some pop ups of the very first episode and second episodes, what have you. So the first one, I'll go ahead and start with why we started the vlog and podcast series. The vlog came about three months before the podcast, but we decided to do a vlog one that way we can kind of be like an education source for investors. One not only get to know our company and everyone we work with and who you will essentially be working with, but also to educate you on the industry as itself. You know what to expect, where to start, if you are just getting started, different types of strategies and all kinds of different things. Do you have anything you want to add on that?
Yeah. So for those of you that have listened to us for a while or even just started listening and you're kind of catching up on some of the content that we've released over the last year and a half. I think it's evolved quite a bit. So at first it was like informational, not too salesy. Like the goal wasn't supposed to be like a permanent hook to bring in buyers. It was more so just people being informational.
Yes.
And then kind of evolved as, you know, our teams grew. We started add personnel that would come in these, these vlogs and eventually podcasts to add interesting perspectives as different roles in what we do. And then ultimately we started to innovate because as we started getting feedback and we started networking with everybody that's been listening, we found opportunity to improve our processes and then in turn that gives us additional things to talk about. So yeah, you've Heard Danny and Flip founders, they talk at length about their apartment purchase process with their first apartments. You know that we talk about that a lot in the. In the vlog and in the podcasts. And honestly, that set us up to do pretty cool things in our FFC company because we talk about that content now we're doing it a different way.
Yeah.
The next set of apartments. Right. It's been pretty cool. I mean, I've been. I've been had the pleasure of being in many of them, the blogs and podcasts. And I'm looking forward to exciting future and what we're going to be doing. Coming. Coming down the line.
Yeah. So essentially that was a great transition into, you know, what can you continue to expect? It's going to kind of be the same thing. Getting the team more involved on this is something we started probably within the last year. It was originally started as just Flippin Danny and we decided to make it more of a team effort because we're a family of companies. So, you know, everyone is involved in some way, shape or form. So getting to have different people in the companies come in here and talk about, you know, what they're doing in their job role, how it's affecting things or even their experiences with real estate investing or renovations, property management, all different aspects of it. Definitely expect that. And just really furthering your education, really.
Right, exactly. So a couple things that we're layering in. In the future, we're gonna start doing Facebook Lives more similar kind of setup to the vlog and the podcast as far as some of the content stuff. But it allows us to be just one step closer to you as the consumer, the person taking in this information to open up the doors to additional content that we can put out. Maybe we're seeing a lot of similar questions, so maybe we need to reword some things on how we present information again, just to make sure that we're not. Make sure that we're actually communicating directly with everybody that has been paying attention to us and then also generate good content. So that way in the future we can use those as tools to answer questions in the future.
Yeah, and that's a great thing. The Facebook Live is because it is live, so people can actively interact with you guys on spot instead of, you know, the. The vlogs and podcasts are absolutely great, don't get me wrong. But that's something that you don't get an answer right then and there immediately.
Exactly.
So Facebook Lives I'm very excited to fully launch this year. I think we're gonna set up some type of schedule. That way it's a little more programmed, if you will. So that is very exciting.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So looking back, what are your. What's your favorite? I mean, we're kind of. We're talking more about vlogs right now, but I'm gonna lump podcast in this too. But what's your favorite episode? If you had to pick one?
Honestly, I think it's going to be the Halloween episode from 2021.
Oh, nice.
It was Tiffany and I, our transaction coordinator, and we were Mario and Luigi, and we just had so much fun during that episode. And we even, like, after the fact, we were, like, running down the hall, acting like we were, like, in the video game, and we were, like, jumping up like you were hitting the bricks and everything. We should have incorporated it a little more in the vlog, but that one was really fun. And then I also think, honestly, the Office tour, looking back, like, the very first episode, that was when we first moved here. I think it was released December 1st of 2020. And seeing one, how much we've all changed. Two, how much the office has changed. Three, how much we have grown has been insane. I love looking back on that one. And then I think in 2021, a year later, we actually did an updated Office tour. We should do in this year, too.
Yeah, yeah, that's actually. It's pretty good. So it's. It's funny that your favorite two episodes are actually very much the culture.
Yeah.
Companies.
Yeah.
Because that just goes back to prove kind of what the concept was. It wasn't just about us talking about what we do, but also kind of opening the door and the window into our companies and how they operate. And part of that's doing goofy things in Luigi and Mario outfit, right?
Yeah. Yeah.
There's a. There's a very fun culture piece here. This family of companies that's. It's worth documenting, so it's really cool that that was able to be shared for me. I've been in a lot. I think one of my favorite ones, though, was with Aaron. I don't. I couldn't tell you right off top of my head what the content was about, but I remember that we both had blank sheets of paper in front of us. The only thing was written on there was the vlog number and podcast number. And we literally just sat here and talked for like an hour.
That's great.
And that's. Well, it's like, really good content, too, but I think we were talking about, like, some of the different sales Techniques that we were kind of implementing. And okay, I don't remember the exact content, but just having that free form conversation, that's always exciting. And for vlogs specifically, I think you did my first vlog, and the introduction was interesting because I didn't know what to expect. And we're trying to figure out my title. We got a couple bloopers in that one because we were both like, didn't know exactly what we were doing, but.
Let me cut that part out.
No, but it was fun because, you know, it's like we were trying to figure something out. Right. And we knew what we wanted to do. And now being in the seat, you know, this far down the road, doing the 100th episode. Yeah, it's pretty. Pretty exciting.
It is, yeah. Something else, too, that I really enjoyed was getting to one the interviews, interviewing everyone and getting to learn a little bit extra about everyone is always fun. But also, and this has been with anyone but asking, you know, how did you get started in real estate?
Yeah.
So, you know, I've talked to flipping Danny. I've talked to you. I talked to Danny about that. Maybe Tina, I think as well. So hearing how everyone has gotten started and it's all so different. It just goes back to. There's so many ways that you can do this, and that adds on to that, like, education layer on where, you know, everyone's experience is different. All that usually, you know, kind of a similar set end goal. Excuse me. But you all start really different.
So, yeah, it's. It's pretty cool. I love how integrated all of our stories are because they all fit well into how the company operates. Yeah. We all come from different backgrounds, but all have the right expertise to fill it in. So it's all cool.
Yes.
And the vlogs are actually proof of that because the. We have so many different perspectives and viewpoints and experience that no two ones are the same.
Very true. Very true.
Yeah.
All right, well, that's all that I have. I know we have notebooks. They aren't entirely fine. They're talking points. But do you have anything else you want to add?
No. For the hundredth vlog episode, we're going to end by saying invest smart and live happy. Thank you.
Brushes are gonna be hilarious.
We'll have to figure out how to clip that in there. That was hilarious.
Am I trying to be so gentle?
This might be the one. So we know how Flip loves confetti. So for the hundredth vlog episode, we're going to end by saying invest smart and live.
Happy.
Thank you.
Bye, guys. Oh, no. Party pal. I'm so nervous. Why did I do this?
