A short conversational segment from a YouTube video arguing that roughly 90% of contractors are unreliable. The speakers advise bringing multiple contractors when evaluating work because many will not show or be dependable (e.g., invite 10 and expect one to show). An anecdote compares good contractors to 'leprechauns'—rare and worth keeping secret—underscoring the difficulty of finding trustworthy tradespeople in real-estate investing.

Ninety percent of contractors are no good.
Are you sure it's 90%? I mean, that seems a little low.
Remember at the very beginning when I said there was two gold nuggets that I wanted you to write down? If you're not driving a car and it's that 90% of contractors are not good, don't bring one contractor. Bring quite a few contractors with you, and they're not all reliable. So if you invited 10, you might have one show up.
I remember when we first got into real estate, I remember asking another real estate investor, saying, hey, I'm looking for a good contractor. And they just laughed out loud. And they said, you know what good contractors are like leprechauns. Once you find one, put them in your pocket and don't tell anyone. I'll never forget that.
