That's right. And we are on vacation. Wait, we're not on vacation.
We're not on vacation.
This is definitely not vacation. And hold on. If you listen, you can hear the snores of our dogs behind us.
They're literally sleeping behind us with Sparty panting off to the right of us.
So we're on our trip from Ohio down to Florida, and yesterday the movers came and they boxed up the entire house. And we took our vital, important things in our truck and car to drive down to Florida. And those are dog food, dog toys, dog treats, dog bones, dog beds, my coffee maker, a bottle of scotch, and a podcast equipment which we're not even using for this podcast. Isn't that fun?
That is hilarious.
Yeah, so. But we'll be getting in later on this evening, but. So we're live from our hotel room, right? Nearly.
Man, this is probably one of the things that I'm so excited about, but it's buried, this move. So Tina actually drove from Georgia to South Carol to spend his first two days with him this week to help onboard him and train him and get him up and running. I actually just did a brief exchange with him yesterday in Boxer as he got that set up. And so I'm super, super excited. That's gonna be a game changer for sei. And like I said, I'd be more stoked about it right now if I wasn't so incredibly tired from this whole move process. Then on Monday is when we got.
Yeah, that was when we got the double, double, triple secret clear to close, because apparently the other clear to. They didn't mean it, but they wanted to let us know that we could. Don't ask. So anyway, Monday morning we found out, or actually Monday, because the lender is on west coast. So we had to wait until 1:00 clock on Monday our time to find out that we got the clear to close. So that finally happened on Monday. So thank goodness.
Yes. And that's when we started the real serious packing. We had been packing and packing and packing, but we left some stuff out going. We don't know exactly what's going on. So on Monday afternoon we went, okay, it's for real now let's start getting everything out. So Monday and Tuesday, we spent the day packing. And then Wednesday, which was yesterday, so hard to believe, the closing docks arrived in the morning. You called Betty and had Betty and Wesley, come over to our house so they could notarize us. The closing docs. I got a picture, I posted it on Facebook, and then the movers arrived, started loading everything up. We loaded up the truck with everything that he said at the beginning of the podcast, a lot of dog stuff. And we started our drive yesterday and.
We made it to Chattanooga.
Chattanooga. That's where we're at right now. Pretty much packed. So as soon as this video ends, we're going to go get in the.
Car and drive for eight hours.
Eight hours. Yeah, that's right. So that. That's. Oh. And at the very bottom, I went, hey, what happened? Real estate wise?
Yeah, real estate related.
I'm real estate, so I feel like I don't really know what's going on because right now. Jody, thank you. Jody so much. Is manning my email and she's telling me if there's anything urgent that I need to address, and usually I just box her back, tell her how to reply, and she handles it for me. So I know some things are getting scheduled. I know that the 16 unit I saw. I did see an email while we were packing about some estoppel getting signed and things like that. So things are still moving and grooving. And I think that's a place where, if you're a business owner and you're in real estate, this is a place where you really want to get right, is that you can go somewhere and have your life become totally hectic, low on sleep, high on stress, and you still have people in the background that are taking care of you. So I really, really appreciate the team. We wouldn't be here without them.
