A live week-5 progress update episode of the "Freedom through Passive Income" podcast (hosts Flip and Danny). They review a recently-walked 48-unit property that required renegotiation, share podcast performance (1,416 downloads in January), reflect on managing overwhelm and consistency, and describe expanding networking/partnership activity and upcoming mastermind involvement. The episode closes with calls-to-action (subscribe, share, reviews) and a standard investment disclaimer.

Hey, everybody. Flip and Danny here coming to you live from the video room in Centerville, Ohio.
That was a new one. Thank you.
I was trying to change it up. Founders of the Freedom Real Estate Group family of companies, and welcome to another.
Episode of our podcast called Freedom through Passive Income.
You had to think about it. Today is one of the live live episodes. This is week Cinco.
Yes.
Week five Live update. And this is our progress update for this week. So I'll just jump into it right away.
Yeah, please do.
All right. So last week we talked to you about a 48 unit that we were getting ready to walk, but we said we weren't going to share anything with you. Well, we did walk it last week, the end of last week, and kind of. It's sort of par for the course. It was worse than anticipated.
Yeah.
Everyone's every. Well, not ours, but a lot of times they'll say, oh, no, it's in great condition and it's rent ready. Everybody's definition of rent ready is different.
Yes.
And so this one was much worse than we thought. But we got all the numbers in it. And we are in the process of renegotiating.
Yes, we are.
That's right. It's never dead until it's dead.
That's right. And even when it's.
Even when it's dead, we still try to not dead. It's not dead. Also with the podcast, this is kind of cool. We use a program called buzzsprout. We should have an affiliate link for buzzsprout, but we use this program called buzzsprout to do our podcast and it tells us how many downloads. And this is just podcast only downloads. And for the month of January, considering we started a zero on January 1, when we started even knew what we were doing. We had 1,416 downloads in the month of January.
Yeah.
Which is an average of just shy of 50 a day, I think. Yeah. My math is right. Yeah. That's close to that.
Yeah. I was hoping for like 30 downloads.
I know, right?
Sorry. 60. Your mom and my mom.
I know. Every day. Yep, exactly. So, but again, you know, if this is helping, you know, if the podcast is helping, helping you. If you like what we're doing. If you just think we're two clowns and we make you laugh. Share it, you know, share with your friends. Because you would not believe what these two are talking about. You got to watch this.
We always said it was a little bit of education and a little bit of fun. Yeah.
A little bit of education and A little bit of fun. Remember the Osmond show came a little bit of country, a little bit of rock and roll, and I'm dating myself again.
Yes, you are.
Yes, yes. You're the education, I'm the fun. Anyway, okay. And moving on. All right, everybody, if you're watching on LinkedIn or Facebook or YouTube, this is your chance right now. I know you see the like button right here and you see the heart button right there. This is your chance in the video to smash these buttons. Make sure you hit that heart button. Make sure you hit that like button if you like what you're seeing and if you enjoy what you're watching. But this is your chance.
Right?
Doing. Oh, smash.
And just remember, this is how we show social media algorithms that you like what we're sharing. So. So if we're adding any kind of value over this 365 day series, we hope you'll help us out by sharing the love.
Yeah. So, again.
Okay, so another thing that happened this week was not necessarily a win because we don't like to always talk about wins, although we're trying to get better at it because we're really trying to focus on what is positive and what we accomplish so that we can celebrate in the gain instead of the gap, which is a book that I was reading and I was like, oh, that makes a lot of sense.
Yeah.
But at the same time, it's real life and, you know, there's some pain in the process of growing. So this week, I personally had a ton of overwhelm. Like, I was just like, flip, I can't do it all. What could we stop doing? He goes, not stop doing. Maybe pause doing.
Yeah, there's that pause button. It's right next to the stop button.
You don't have to do it all right this second, which is kind of the way I roll. I have all these projects and I get a little overwhelmed and not really good at planning them out. So this week was a little bit of overwhelm. But consistency is key. Right. And as long as you can reassess, adjust, then it's just continuing to take that one step at a time.
That's right. So even if you do a little bit. Yeah, right.
Yes.
That's a little bit more than you had yesterday.
That's right. Exactly right. So I didn't get stuck, which is nice. That's what you don't want to do is land in stuck zone when you get overwhelmed. So.
Right. We like to like what you wrote there. Cause that's something that we like to say.
Yeah, go ahead, you can share it.
Just take a beat.
Yes.
Just stop for a second.
Yeah.
You know, or pause for a second.
Yes.
Take a breath, look around, take it all in and then move forward.
Yes, that's right. You used a little jocko. Take a beat, just pause, look around. Oh, my goodness.
And then keep going.
So we're gonna keep on going here. The fourth thing that we wrote down for progress update was our network is expanding. So we had talked about this last and how we're forming new partnerships. And I had talked to more people ever last week than I had ever in a week in terms of forming because I'm already usually doing too many, too many things. I did say that. Right. That to then talk to somebody about doing more things or a partner with them just adds another thing to my plate. And it's very, very stressful. So we've been very intentionally focused on just building our six businesses now. But in this sixth business, it lends the opportunity to partner with more people, to be able to do more things and to grow. And so our network is now expanding because of that six company. So I talked to me and Ken and Eric actually got on the phone with a lender. That was just yesterday. And that was a really exciting call. I know that you hooked up with a realtor this week.
Yeah. So it's actually a friend of mine that I hadn't seen. And gosh, well, let's see. He. He and his wife cruised with me. That would have been 98. So that was the last time I saw him. But he and I went to school at Michigan State. We were both in the marching band together. And, you know, he's just like couple miles here from the office, and he got into real estate and he's kicking butt. And so we met up. And you know what's funny, you know, because we're talking about wins. We actually met up last Saturday. Do you know what happened last Saturday? Oh, Michigan State beat Michigan. So there's another win. That's right. And all I could think about the entire day was, don't be sad, don't be blue. We beat you in football, too.
Oh, my goodness.
I know. Isn't that awesome?
I love that.
But no, it was great to catch up. And we actually have some things going on. Like we're going to start doing stuff. He's got some clients that he's going to be bringing over to us, possibly for property management and things like that. And, you know, and we've got some referral type things. Going on. So it's great.
Yeah, that's fantastic. And then on my scorecard I do measure how many partnerships like I create or how many new connections, whether they end up partnerships or not. It's just a accountability to me that I have at least two connections a week. So last week was four. And all of them are potential people that we will work with in some way, shape or form. And today you and I are going to be on a mastermind call.
That's right.
To be able to say how we can partner with everybody there. And there's like, I think there's over 100 people in that mastermind. So I'm going to put 100 plus on my scorecard next week.
That doesn't smite me.
I probably shouldn't do that.
Can I count the Jimmy John's guy delivery guy as one of my networking guys?
I don't know. Did you talk about real estate?
I'm sure I can. So we like to try to keep these as short and sweet as possible, but this that wraps up this week. 5 Cinco update the week in review.
