Scheduled to close end of April (year implied 2022).
Hey, everybody. Flip and Danny here, founders of the Freedom Real Estate Group family of companies, and welcome to another episode of our.
Podcast called Freedom through Passive Income.
That's right. And today is another one, our live episodes. And we're actually back on location. I like saying on location. We're always on location. We're back home this week, thank goodness. That was a lot of traveling, but we're back home. And as you can tell by our wardrobe, it's green day.
Happy St Patrick's Day.
Happy St Patrick's Day. Danny said, do you have anything green to wear? And I'm like, hmm, my closet's green.
It's.
Which one do I want to wear?
Yes, exactly. I like the one you chose.
Thank you very much. Thank you. Let me straighten my tie.
I apologize for those of you who can't see the video. He. Yeah, you're going to want to turn on the video whenever you get to a home computer.
I apologize for anyone who has to watch the video. Anyway. Okay, so this is our. This is week 11.
Yes.
Oh, my gosh. Onse. Look at that. I don't know where that one came from. Thank you. Junior year of high school Spanish class. But this is week 11, and this is our progress update.
Yep.
And so just a couple key things. We have over 4,000 podcast downloads. We have over 2,000 YouTube views, which is huge. We've talked about a lot of deals we've been working on. Just in the last couple weeks, we've got another 48 unit, another 15 unit, and then one more deal from Eric that is looking promising.
Yeah, I want to say that's around, like, 79 units, but I couldn't remember, so I didn't write the number down.
I like 79. It's such an odd number. We just put one more unit in there. Make it 80. No, but. No. So with lots of action, even though we were gone, we still had lots of action and lots of momentum going. And so when we got back into the office this week, it was just like the floodgates opened up.
Yes. Yeah. And these are just ones that we're looking at, and they look promising. There's just been so many times where we get sent through and we're just like, ugh, price too high. Or this. Or, you know, there's some immediate red flags. Finally, we've got three deals like those may be looking.
Yeah.
So that's exciting.
Yes, that's very exciting.
And then since I've been back, I've been really focused on team building. So I met with a Couple people, just fellow people in our space about their org charts and how they're building up their teams, what roles they're filling, what they're outsourcing. And then I talked to our CPA because we're hiring a fund manager and we're transitioning some of the duties he's doing, and talked to him about doing some consultant or some type of partnership with him so that he can be helping with forecasting and financials and all these crazy things. And so it's really, really exciting to start to see what we've been working towards building start to manifest itself into this org chart of here's this person, here's this role, and here's what they're doing. These are the ones that we can outsource. These are the ones that. That is just one of the most exciting things to see come to fruition when you're building a business. So super excited. And then today, met with Della, and some of our other team members were on the call as well. We also met with the property manager for the 48 unit that we're under contract for, scheduled to close end of April. So we talked to that property manager and we asked just a buttload of questions. And I'm just a very serious person, so I always go straight to the point. Tina is on the call, and I totally forgot to even introduce Tina. So 10 minutes into it, I go, okay, everybody, I'm sorry. I always get straight to the point. And so I went straight to my list of questions to start asking. Hi, this is Tina. Tina's our coo. Tina, meet Chris Ship. Whoops. But it was fun. We got to ask a whole bunch of questions. They do a really good job over there. So it was a good learning experience about how they're running their property management. And then after that call, immediately after, Dellen and I stayed on to do a due diligence call to go through all the checklists, any questions that she had, because this is the first time for fci, the company, to buy a property and own it with the current team members that we most recently brought on.
Right.
So they're learning. And so this is. We're building out process stocks, we're building out checklists, and they're asking questions. And what I love about this is I know that I get to do this once they know it, and now it's right.
Yes, that's right.
It's off my plate and they get to do it. And Della's doing a really outstanding job. I'm so proud of her. So that was the other thing. And the other thing that really knocked me off my socks yesterday was I had a game plan of what I was going to do right when I woke up in the morning. And I woke up in the morning to a bunch of tax emails and I just went, it is March 15th. Yes. Whoops. Okay, so I've got to go ahead and, go ahead and answer all these questions and dig into this. Do the reviews say, yes, you can do this, you can't do that. Here's a mistake. Here's the answer to this question. I ended up staying at home, as you know, all day because it took so long that I was like, I don't even have time to drive to the office at this point. I just, might as well just finish work.
And just in case, don't worry, we're recording this on the 16th. So when she said yesterday it was still the final day of tax season March 15, so we, we didn't file everything on the 16th. Would have been catastrophic. Right. But you know, and I honestly, I think, I think there was something with, with the accountants in the United States that, that's why St. Patrick's Day is so popular, is because of all the accountants are still drinking from turning in all the paperwork on the 15th. That's funny.
That's.
Well, again, we like to try to make these as short and sweet as possible. We do have all of our groups out there where you can talk to Della, Ben, Eric, Carrie. Yeah, cj, you know, get to get to know the gang. You know, get in there, ask them questions. That's what that's all about. But we got the group on Facebook, which I think you'll see that that's right up here. And then we've got the group on LinkedIn, we got the YouTube channel. Make sure you're checking that out. Make sure you subscribe to that channel. And if you're listening on any of the other, a handful of podcast, whatever those things are called.
Platforms.
Platforms. Yeah, Those two give us reviews, five star review, whatever comment, let us know how we're doing. Let us know if you have any questions. Let us know if you have any suggestions for any episodes. I think we still have about 3,000 episodes left to go, so any suggestions would be helpful.
Yes. And happy St. Patrick's Day again.
