Freedom Vlog Episode 23 - An Interview with Transaction Coordinator, Tiffany Biddle

Tiffany Biddle, a transaction coordinator at Freedom Real Estate Group, walks through her role managing deals from start to finish. She emphasizes staying in touch with lenders and clients to keep closings on track, and shares that she aims to read about 100 books a year.
Hey, Freedom fans. Erik Jones here, director of sales and marketing for Freedom Real Estate Group. Coming to you today with another awesome blog video. My guest with me, Tiffany Biddle. She is our transaction coordinator and we're just going to interview her to learn a little bit more about her, what she does with the company, and a little bit of everything. So, Tiffany, tell us a little bit about your background.
So I actually got into real estate about three years ago. My husband works for the title company that we use and so he knew of people who were hiring, so I started working for them and then I was working with Danny Flip for a while and now I'm here with this company.
Cool. So what is your, what is your role in the company? I know you're a transaction coordinator, but sort of what goes into all of that?
So I actually get a property at the beginning, when we buy it, and I go all the way through the closing process at the very beginning. And then also when it goes under contract on the sale side, when a client purchases it, I deal with the lenders, title company, the clients, everything up into closing.
Yeah. And you're really coordinating sort of all those things, like especially once a client like you buys the property, dealing with the appraiser and scheduling those, and if we're doing an inspection and getting those people in there and checking in on the rehab and communicating with the lenders and it's all sort of those touch points to make sure we get to the finish line. Yes, yes. So it is a super important role and Tiffany is awesome at making sure everything stays on track. So what do you like about this job in particular?
I really like the relationships that I build with people, whether that's here in the office. Also working with different lenders, especially lenders that we've worked with quite a bit. So we have close relationships with them. And then also clients, I like to build the relationship with the clients. I really like the clients who have purchased with us before and so I know kind of what their style is and so I can communicate really well with them. Just it's fun to build relationships.
Yeah, that's awesome. So any advice, I guess in regards to closing, any advice you would give to our clients out there, anyone else who's closing on a property to make sure that everything goes smoothly?
Yeah, there's a lot of information that you get from us, from the title company, from your lender. So it's just best to be really communicative with them and get things done in time so that everything moves in the right process, whether that's getting docs in or you know scheduling your appraisal or paying for that or whatever you need to do.
Yeah especially with like a lot of lenders and even some title companies don't necessarily work on the weekends. So one delay on a Thursday could all of a sudden make you close the next Monday. But if that's a holiday now or Tuesday so it can really put things in a bind if we're not on top of those things that's really important. So sort of switching to you personally. Any interesting things about you that viewers out there? Maybe she likes to laugh. It's an interesting thing. True story. We're on our 16th take. True story. There you go.
I don't think that's accurate.
It's probably more because we 70 yep. Because we couldn't stop Robin so. Alright.
Well I am a super big wizard of Oz fan. I collect a lot of stuff wizard of Oz but not so much anymore because need to calm down on that. I that's.
Yeah and I interesting thing.
People wouldn't know.
I know you mentioned earlier but your husband works for all points tile which we use a lot for our closing. So that's.
And my mother in law, the owner there.
Yeah. Yeah. So it's really awesome because communication is like. Which is great for you. So in your free time outside of the office, what do you like to do?
I really love to read. I read a lot of books and make it a goal to read 100 books every year and with the exception of a couple years I've had that for the past like six years maybe. So that's usually what I can be seen doing on my free time. I also like to run. Not so much here anymore but I.
Do like to run.
I run a lot of races and I like to bake.
What's your favorite thing to bake?
Chocolate chip cookies or pumpkin chocolate chip cookies in the fall.
So if you close with us in the next three months, Tiffany will bake you chocolate chip cookies or pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and send them to you. She didn't know I was gonna say that.
