A short YouTube motivational monologue (The Freedom Show) that argues there is no "cheat code" for life; instead, true freedom comes from recognizing that life is hard, accepting adversity, and persistently continuing despite setbacks. The speaker contrasts people who look for shortcuts or special advantages (who remain miserable) with those who embrace difficulty, recover after being "crushed," and keep moving forward.
Understanding of freedom come with one of my assistants years ago. She said to me, she goes, boss, life is hard. I need the cheat code. Like you just figured out the cheat code. She goes, what's that? I said that life is hard. I said, the second a person understands what you have in front of you and how difficult it's going to be, you literally can start moving instead of sitting there thinking, man, something's not working right. It's the people that think that there's a cheat code. It's the people that think that somebody got ahead because they had something special about them, they had this leg up or somebody gave them something. Those are the guys who are really, really miserable and don't have freedom. The person that realizes that life is going to be tough and it's going to beat on you, it's going to crush you, it's going to smash you, but you can still get back up. Those are people actually achieve the understanding of freedom, which is the ability to just continue to keep moving in the face of adversity.
