Short YouTube monologue arguing that top real estate investors succeed by doing the opposite of the herd: they anticipate market turns rather than follow trends, positioning themselves on the "front end" of cycles to avoid mistakes common to lagging investors.
People don't realize that the success of most real estate investors who have gotten to a certain level in life and in their business is because they're doing the opposite of what everybody else is doing. And they're not like, watching the trends. So the biggest mistake that you can make is following the herd. So as the herd goes, you're so far behind the mark that you end up making the big mistake, because the herd is already turning when you're really catching up, right? Meanwhile, the really smart and seasoned investors are going, oh, you're going that way. I'm going this way. This is where it ends up turning. So we're already over here. It ends up turning and the people that are lagging. And if you're not watching on the video, you don't see this circle that you just don't want to be on, the back half of that circle where you're following the herd and you're constantly making mistakes. You always want to be on the front end, and usually the front end means you're doing the opposite of what most everybody else is doing.
