Short monologue from a YouTube video discussing the harsh realities behind perceived success: the speakers argue that social media and polished images give people a misleading impression of success, obscuring daily struggle, effort, and hardship that most successful-looking people endure. The speaker emphasizes that appearances (e.g., fashion magazine photos) hide significant unseen work and suffering.

Thank you for being that type of person that doesn't always talk about rainbows and sunshine. Right. Because it's not always pretty. It's tough when you have to get up every single day and face the challenges and go to bed at night, wake up next day and do it again. And there's not enough people that talk about that.
People talk about that kind of stuff because they need that to remind themselves that, yeah, they're getting their asses kicked, but it's still very good. But I think that gives people the wrong impression of what success is. They're too busy, you know, walking through the line at the grocery store and they see the fashion magazine, they're like they're literally looking down on themselves because of how pretty that person is on the COVID That person just went through $10,000 of bullshit just to take that picture. So just know that when they woke up that morning, they were probably uglier than you.
